The M&M is situated perfectly, right across from the beach on a mostly quiet road in Playa del Coco. Easy walking to restaurants and shops with a bunch of options on the main drag. Our room was nicely appointed, if basic. The fans provided good air flow, super important as it was hot and didn't cool during the night. There isn't hot water, not really an issue as the air temps are hot enough that a hot shower isn't appealing. The common area upstairs is wonderful - awesome to sit and enjoy a drink while playing cards or if having a meal. We enjoyed our breakfast there while listening to the ocean and birds across the street. It was nice having a space for very simple meal prep if needed. No access to a stove or other cooking facilities, but dishes and other small items.

Nothing really to report. Note that the parking area is very small if you've rented a vehicle. It's secure, but a concern with door dings or something along those lines was in the back of our minds.

Slightly confusing check in

Loved being right across from the beach within walking distance of everything. The public spaces with hammocks and chairs both upstairs and in the first floor were appreciated.

The room had the bed against a wall which is hard to get out of if you are the one of a couple who is in that side. Wish there had been seating in the room.

No water in bathroom, but it was repaired - hey, it's Costa Rica - we completely understand. Parking lot needs to be expanded. But these were not major problems. It was a nice place. We enjoyed our stay.

There is no HOT WATER, I guess that is common in CR but I really don’t like nit having at least warm water no matter how hot it is outside.

Lighting, no value for money, no hot water, poor construction. I could hear the conversation and footsteps of people walking upstairs.

Surprisingly quiet two out of our three nights. I think because there is no comfortable place to be in common ground areas, people hung out elsewhere or in their rooms quietly. Clean. Good value. No fussy people in our experience. We were there to dive with Rich Coast and so that worked out well. We acknowledge there was no AC (with fans, we were fine in January), and no hot water (we didn’t want it anyways).

I would be nervous to stay here over the weekend if the beach gets loud late at night. The soccer field right next door can have matches until 10 PM. There is almost no comfortable sitting. There are hammocks in the sun (too hot), chairs for breakfast (very uncomfortable), and a messy area outside with cheap plastic chairs. The location is right off the beach, yes, but be mindful of the activity. We saw a drug deal and someone actually doing drugs directly across from the beach house.

Love the 60s beach house decor and vibe. The location was perfect. Great quick (and free) breakfast. The staff was wonderful. The bed was very comfy. Almost kidnapped the cat to bring it home with us.

La ubicación es excelente!! frente al mar, tanto que podiamos escucharlo desde la habitacion. El Hotel tiene un ambiente relajado y muchas mesas frente al mar tambien.

I liked the fact that it was easy walking distance to the restaurants and shopping. I especially liked the fact that the beach was just across the street.

The rooms on the second didn't have ac. I didn't know that when I booked, but thankfully, there are three rooms on the first floor that do have ac. We switched rooms for the second night, and that staff was very accommodating.

The property is beautiful, right across the street from the beach and a short walk to the main road. Breakfast was very delicious, homemade food. The staff was incredibly kind. I had a medical issue and they offered to drive me to the closest pharmacy.

Right a cross from the beach and at the end of a street. Quiet and away from the noise of the center but super close enough if you wanted to go to bars, restaurants and supermarket. Great location and a very pretty view of the beach. Staff is super friendly and breakfast is included.

We love that the hotel is across the street from the beach. We were able to enjoy a quick swim and a stroll along the beach. It was great not having to carry our belongings to the beach, with the hotel directly across the street we had easy access to tables and chairs, towels, and food. We enjoyed the perfect sunset! It's a great place to stay for its value, thought I wish there were AC.
