Beautiful, clean accommodation in an idyllic location

You have to be careful when using the washing machine. You are not allowed to make any adjustments to the washing machine, which resulted in both my laundry nets and a garment being damaged. Unfortunately, despite notifying the hostess and sending her pictures, there was no reaction from her. I expected more.

Absolutely stunning setting, especially the evening we arrived with no wind, view to the dam in foreground and mt Roland as backdrop! Unique setting of working farm and the freedom to (respectfully) walk around the property (and use equipment such as kayaks - though may not have been meant to!). Friendly and responsive hosts without being overbearing. Accommodation set up to encourage environmentally sensitive use of resources. Beautifully light and airy garden studio with great north facing verandah. Ability to include our 18yr old son on an air mattress as he was a last minute addition to our stay! Wonderful garden and animals. Easy accessibility to Devonport (via car). Calm and peaceful despite proximity to Bass Hwy.

The fact that we'd only booked 2 nights! Key to verandah door didn't seem to work.

Great accommodation, wish we could stay longer! Places to visit: Spreyton cidery Tasmanian Arboretum (gardens)!! Leven Canyon (1hr drive) Sheffield - town of murals Cradle Mountain (1hr 20min drive) !!!

The cottage was just perfect.

The homestead was so lovely with gorgeous gardens. Six spacious rooms with absolutely beautiful bedding. Very good value for money. The hosts were very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with.

Lovely farm with a cute cottage. So nice to walk into a warm room with fire lit ready for us. A perfect retreat to totally relax.

It was a beautiful and relaxing place to be. We loved watching the animals and talking with Stacey about the horses.

There was nothing to dislike about our stay

Long John's Cottage at the Farm was just fabulous - 2 night stay. Inside was just gorgeous, clean, warm, comfortable and had everything we needed. Bed & pillows gave us a great night sleep. Bathroom very modern. We had a few changes we needed before our stay & the owners were incredibly accommodating & very quick to respond. Beautiful views, honey straight off the farm & close proximity to Latrobe for any shopping needs. Highly recommend.

Arriving at night was a little hard to see the sign at the front. Apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

We enjoyed the presence of the chickens and the duck was very personable. It's easy to imagine a farm to have a bathtub. That would have been a nice addition but it seems to be getting scarcer in paid accommodation these days. Kitchen was well equipped. The outside BBQ being used as the stove top is sensible in light of fire hazards and lingering odours.

The Garden Studio is really beautiful, well equipped and has lovely views from the verandah. The hosts were wonderful.

Loved the cottage. Modern bathroom, the bed was so comfortable and the bedroom had lots of room. Enjoyed having the chickens wandering around the yard.

The WiFi connection was a bit intermittent, however we didn't come away for our weekend to spend it on our devices. Really not an issue.
