If there’s a better view in the United States of the ocean and scenery, I have not seen it! Great house great view great owner. Communication was wonderful. Would definitely return.

This bright, charming house is all about the view. Lots of places to sit and look at the ocean while perched high on the Mesa cliffs. A well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds make it a dream stay!

This home is the best home away from home. Then you add the beauty of the view and there is no leaving this peaceful place. The owners have made this home so easy and comfortable. I’ve had the blessing of renting it multiple times and always leave hoping I’ll be back soon. ❤️

We loved the place. Incredible location, right on the ocean, we were just one block from the stairs to Mesa lane spot where we went surfy. Easy and clear communication with the owner. Very easy process. Looking forward to going back. We should not say anything else…we want to keep it as our secret spot!😉

The photos do not lie! The views when you enter the front door of this home are just amazing. The house is located on a cliff directly above the ocean. We fell asleep every night to the sound of the surf. The patios were so enticing that we hated to leave - and a special treat for Texans in July was being able to wrap up in blankets on the porch! The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking and the location was very convenient to the very thing we wanted to do. Grocery store minutes from the house. Very easy, professional contact with the owner . This was a mother/ daughter trip and we had a great time l.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the oceanfront cottage with the ocean right outside the picture windows and deck. We loved beachcombing at the nearby beach as well as watching the pelicans, seagulls, dolphins, surfers, and occasional whale spout while relaxing on the deck. The property is very quiet and located in a friendly neighborhood with lots of bikers, walkers, and dog walkers passing by. The house and furniture were comfortable and clean, and we enjoyed the ping pong table in the garage. The decor was wonderful, and we appreciated the good quality and variety of kitchenware; large, thick, and comfy towels; and grip bars in the shower. To improve the ambience for the renter even more, we recommend replacing the showerheads, additional lighting in the bedrooms, and adding niceties like kleenix. The heat, WiFi and TVs worked well; the house was in good repair except for two burned out lightbulbs in the bathroom, which we replaced.The laundry center was very appreciated, as we didn't have to pack as much on our trip. The property was just a short drive to Santa Barbara landmarks like Stearns Wharf and the Zoo as well as a central location for trips to Ojai, Lompoc, and Channel Islands National Park. The owner, Laura, was very welcoming and communicative. Overall, we had a fun and relaxing time and recommend the Edgewater home to all.

We have stayed at this property several times and the view is fabulous. We enjoyed watching the sea life, surfers, and waves all day long. The house is very comfortable as is the deck and patio. Would stay here again.

This house has the most spectacular views of the ocean, with two porches from the which to enjoy the sights. We lived outside almost everyday, as the views were memorizing. And everything is within walking distance, anything that you need (coffee, grocery stores, etc). The house is also in close proximity to downtown Santa Barbara, within 10 minutes drive. We will most definitely be returning here again.

Wow! Laura's home is a wonderful beach cottage. The views are spectacular, you can literally sit on the couch and watch wave after wave. I prefer the outdoors: the deck and patio are so relaxing, I fell asleep there. Even though we were there during rather intense storms, there was no problem at all with the cottage. We had a fire and that was truly nice. Laura is responsive and easy to work with. I always prefer renting directly from a homeowner rather than through a management team. I'm already looking forward to renting again and again!

As soon as you walk in, you know it’s all about the view! The house could use updates but it’s easy to overlook while you’re enjoying the ocean.

Our family was in town for a wedding and decided to make it a weeklong vacation. The cottage-style house was great. Everything we needed. The outdoor deck and patio were perfect for just hanging out, reading and sunning. We went to the beach every morning for a dip in the ocean. Easy access to town and groceries. Just a great getaway with family! Cannot wait to do it again!!!

This home exceeded our high expectations! Beautifully appointed in charming Santa Barbara cottage style - the best stocked kitchen we have ever had in a short-term rental - great host communication - location cannot be beat....such a wonderful stay.

If you’re looking to have the Pacific Ocean right in your own backyard this is the place for you! Beautiful mornings and evenings are guaranteed staring at the ocean and listening to the sounds of waves crashing. The home is lovely and the epitome of a comfortable, cozy beach cottage. Close proximity to Shoreline Park and The Mesa Steps are a plus. Easy drive into State Street for shopping and restaurants. Will definitely stay again!

It's hard to believe, but the views are actually even better than in the photos! The cottage is lovely and has good amenities with beach basics. nice bedding, and generally well equipped. We didn't do any real cooking so the kitchen easily had everything we needed. Other reviews mentioned the bathrooms and they are rather basic, small, cottage style, but clean and adequate so we had no complaints. The beach is a short walk (including 240 stairs) to a nearly-private beach, yet restaurants and wine tastings are only a short drive away. The one item to note is that this is not ideal in a work from anywhere world. The WiFi was not great and cellular reception was also rather weak so we had to take multiple meetings elsewhere to ensure reliable connections. Hopefully this will improve to make this cottage even more wonderful!

It was our first time in SB and it was definitely love at first site. This lovely house is comfortable and in a spectacular location with an amazing view. We felt centrally located to everything we wanted to do. Laura was equally responsive and accommodating. Looking forward to another visit already.

Absolutely wonderful view, great patio space, wonderful location close to Mesa Lane steps to the ocean and Douglas Family Preserve park. Comfortable king bed in Master. Well stocked kitchen. We hope to return!

We truly enjoyed our stay. Just a short stroll from the beach, we loved sitting on the patio having morning coffee and listening to the waves. Walking distance to a few restaurants and grocery store and just a short ride in the car to just about everywhere. I would highly recommend staying here, we didn’t want to leave!

We very much enjoyed our third visit to this house overlooking the ocean. Saw dolphins, surfers and a mother and her calf on one of the days.

Loved our time here. There's nothing to beat sitting on the deck at sunrise or sundown, hearing the waves crashing on the beach right below, watching for dolphins and whales and generally relaxing. Can't wait to come back!

Outstanding views. Water all around. Like a dream. You can see the Channel Islands. Adorable layout. All you need. Well stocked with cooking and drinking essentials, towels, everything. Absolutely fabulous.

We stayed at this dream of a cottage to celebrate my husbands 40th with his parents and our two kids. The views were unbelievable and the location can’t be beat - a block walk to the beach access, easy walk to the beautiful park and short drive to state street. You’ll immediately feel at home with the cozy fireplace, open area and patio charm. We definitely hope to be back one day!!!
