The location and peacefulness were great. Dinner was superb.
No room service is available.

we liked everything about the property. it was a tranquil oasis and a much needed break from city life. the staff are absolutely incredible, so attentive and they showed us such kindness and made us feel very at home.
we went on a jeep safari with some of the staff and had a fantastic time, even though we didn’t see a tiger, we still saw lots of incredible jungle wildlife and it was a dream to be that immersed in nature.
food is exceptional, all very fresh and the chefs and serving staff are all really lovely.
nothing. we genuinely loved every second of our stay! we look forward to returning in the summer when we can use the pool area!

We couldn’t choose for a better place to spend the last part of our trip to Nepal. This resort is a piece of paradise, all the staff was incredibly nice and always willing to help. Big bed, AC, big portions of delicious meals and amazing jungle environment with a dream pool. Special mention to the naturalist Ram, he was the best guide we could ever ask for, he’s all kindness and knows absolutely every single living species you’ll see in the safaris. You can see the passion he feels for nature in every fact he tells you, and answers any question you could have. We did canoeing safari and jeep safari with him and we repeated it again next day because he made of them our best time there.
To positively mention also that they didn’t offer elephant “activities”.

Food was excellent with very friendly staff!
The pricing for Jungle Safari was too expensive.

I love the complimentary breakfast and the night activities such as Tharu dance which got to watch for free.
There was lot of mosquitoes which made difficult for staying out at night. The resort should take action to solve this.

The room was great and I loved the view over the bit of forest. The pool is comfortable and although the menu was very small, the food was overall quite nice! Staff was incredibly nice and attentive! They helped us get a ride back home. The area is very quiet and the bed was incredibly comfortable!
There is, overall, not that much to do in Meghauli. Where Sauraha is a lively little village with restaurants and pubs, Meghauli is just a collection of resorts - this means you can't just walk out of the hotel which we were used to when staying in Sauraha. But that is not on the hotel but rather just to keep in mind when booking your stay. It might be a good idea to ask the hotel for bikes! The one thing I would count against the hotel is that they call themselves a wildlife sanctuary yet they offer and promote unethical elephant rides which did not sit well with me.

We stayed an extra night in sarung because we enjoyed it so much. It has a great relaxed vibe. Off the beaten track but brilliant facilities. I will recommend it to all my friends. Ram the gamekeeper is a fountain of jungle knowledge, indeed all the staff were lovely😎

Breakfast fine as was location and attentiveness of the staff.
General professional approach in management lacking probably due to lack of experience and training. Referral to a private car from Sarang to Kathmandu unsatisfactory. Price agreed in advance and currency but the driver expected more and spent the entire journey on his mobile phone for his personal affairs. Simply not on and dangerous at times. Suggest staff recommend alternative drivers who are professional by trade and know how to drive.

The property is beautiful, rooms are very nice, pool was awesome on a hot day, Harka our tour guide was amazing, wildlife sightings were great, owner helped us out with transportation and was really great to deal with, best part was that the tours were basically private, we saw other tour groups crammed into jeeps with everyone talking, our Jeep safari and walking safari were awesome! Very close encounters with lots of rhinos and so many other animals.
They didn’t really explain anything to us on our arrival on how the whole resort functioned, we didn’t realize it was set meals, no menu to choose what you want for dinner. They also didn’t tell us upfront that all the tours/activities/meals/drinks would be subject to a 23% tax which really pushed the price up for our whole stay. Staff are all very friendly but just need another few training sessions on customer service, there were about 27 staff members working everyday and there were only about 3-7 guests staying per night yet they didn’t really explain much to us about the prep/itinerary/options for activities/meals. Overall cool place though if you’ve got the funds to spend on an expensive few days in the jungle.
