Breakfast was in short supply for many items.

The toilet had a very unpleasant odour coming from the drainage outlets.

A fight for breakfast no bread and lots of children hogging the toaster doing multiple slices not giving others a chance

The bathroom was smelly didn’t feel comfortable in there

Staff were excellent. The room was tidy and clean.

It was a refuge center. Children running around the corridors, Cleanness was poor saw food and rubbish lying on the floor near the lifts and corridors. At breakfast no water or juice was not available. The cutlery was plastic. The reception was full dirty laundry bags of the refuges.

Staff at breakfast were really lovely and very helpful, value for money also

Honestly, it was full of refugees And piles of takeaway boxes strewn by lifts on arrival,

Maxine. She worked in the restaurant. She was pleasant, helpful and extremely friendly.

The issue that I have experienced was: We have had to deal with constant noise throughout our stay. This hotel is being used for refugees at present, which we totally understand. However the noise coming from the refugees has been unbearable. At 2am we were woken by men talking in the corridor. Then in the morning a mass of children were running up and down the corridor shouting and slamming doors. I actually had to go out and ask them to be quiet. No adult took any responsibility for them. Whilst we were having breakfast refugees were filling white paper bags with pastries and cakes and left none for other guests. We highlighted all these complaints to reception, however we were told that they could not communicate with them as they did not understand. The stairwells have been used as a dumping ground for unwanted clothing and children are using the stairwell as a playground. There was constant takeaway cartons and bags of rubbish outside the lifts which were extremely unhygienic. This is unacceptable for paying guests to have to endure this. It occurred on: 2021-10-03 This meant that Felt unsafe due to men outside door in early hours. Chain not working on inside of door. Asked refugees not to enter lift with us as too many in lift. Breaching covid regulations. Frustrated at breakfast due to lack of consideration for other guests. We were advised that there was nothing that could be done due to a lack of interpreted. Girl on front desk was not interested.

The fact that the hotel was being used to house refugees on behalf of the government and that we were not informed by holiday inn at any stage of our stay or told before we arrived.Funny we should be an email about the air conditioning!!!!!! Didn't feel very comfortable with this situation along with covid regs not being adhered too.Have these 'guests' had any jabs?

Clean room Good location for us

Our stay was marred by hotel seconding as a Asylum seekers hostel. With what could be described as refugee children running around the corridors through the evening and night and messing around with the only working lift? on our arrival there was a vehicle in the car park handing out clothing and they were scavenging through it something my children don’t need too see? Holiday Inn must have been expecting trouble with bouncers on the entrance and could have advertised as asylum hostel

Space. No hassle. Parking and connection access. Close to Aldi.

Average breakfast. No air conditioning.

It was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. If it wasn’t for the fact we where staying for a funeral in the local area I would have left. The woman on the front seat was rude. It was dirty. Our room smelt of drains. There was also no air con and no towels(we was told this less than 24hours before arrival). And just the look of the hotel put you off.

Breakfast is included but a ‘paid-for’ Breakfast might produce a higher-quality one????
