Clean spacious Comfortable bed

Location good, staff were friendly and replied quickly

The room wasn't very clean and had a strange smell in it. We had to open the windows while we were in it

The room was clean and passable. It was a Saturday night and very very noisy downstairs in the pub. Room was tiny and facing a car park. You enter through the back which is unpleasant. Nice courtryside surrounding. I wouldn't say here again .

Hi. I arrived at midnight and the property was closed. I knocked all over the doors but nobody respond. I slept in the car someone opened the door at 8:30 in morning then I got chance to get in.

No taxis in the area but the staff told us about the bus service

We arrived late and left early. The landlady greeted us in a friendly manner and showed us around. Thereafter we didn't see a soul as we left straightaway for a family party, came back and fell into bed, woke up, showered and left. All good!

being led to believe we could get a home cooked meal by the web site and reviews . when asked to see menu was told we don’t do food but was handed a takeaway menu . young girl was quiet defensive when asked about website was told everyone knows we don’t do food , our reply was no we did not know they need to change web site did not seem bothered we left next morning

Great price and great location., it is central for national parks around the area.This place is perfect for the Trans Pennine Trail and Peak District. Bed was comfortable and room was accessbile at back via with easy parking.

Some noise on Saturday evening but it is a pub however more noise possibly as someone mentioned previously that a chiller above is causing the room to vibrate with creaking sounds a lot of time in this room.

Clean and comfortable room. Easy access to fields to walk to dog. Free pool on a Tuesday night meant we were entertained. Staff were friendly.

Shame it doesn’t do food but we took a short drive to Penistone and found plenty of options.

Nothing. The whole experience was awful

The staff were hostile, unwelcoming and unhelpful. There was a band playing until very late so it was really loud, impossible to sleep. The room was uncomfortable, cold, dirty and smelly.

Easy to find, a good place to visit the Pennines. Friendly staff, very clean, spacious room, good parking.

There is no food available here. The finishing on the room was poor, it had an electronic fan buzzing outside all night and the shower didn't work. Couldn't contact any staff when the bar was closed and telephone no listed was unobtainable.
