no staff was onsite and hard to find at night no window in the basement room super small room you can’t open your suitcase they entered our room to shut down the heating but it was freezing cold with stone walls quite pricy so noisy above that one could not sleep at night not sure if it were the owners or other guests didn’t know about the location that no ferry goes there and you have to climb 400 steps everyone you go to the train Station

Max made his best to make our accommodation comfortable. Everything was good as expected. This is a value for money hotel. Our Air-condition was broken that night so we had no heating, however we didn't call Max who was ready to come and fix it.

I would expect some cold cuts or fresh cheese at the breakfast. Parking is not free but has an extra cost of 10 euros

A small and cozy hotel in the beautiful city of Lucca. There is parking and it is simply great in a place with such a parking shortage. The location is simply great, literally walking distance from the center. net. A wonderful and varied breakfast. A smiling team that helps with anything and everything.

There is a little noise from the street but it is negligible compared to the advantages.

The bathroom mirrors in our room (Giulia) were absolutely beautiful but were hung so high I could not see my face from my forehead up.

It was a beautiful property located a short distance from the walls of Lucca. The rooms decor was lovely fresh and very clean. Beautiful size bathroom with a great shower. Great breakfast area with friendly staff.

There is no lift so with luggage you need to drag upstairs if you are on the upper level.

For us, this place felt like a disapointment. The day before we arrived, we called ahead in order to confirm that we would arrive around 11 am. The lady on the phone mentioned that this was not a problem and that the room was ready. When we actually arrived, we were received by a lady who said that check-in was not possible until 3 pm and who was clearly annoyed. Not a good start. Which bothered us the most, however, was the noise in the bedroom. Noise from the refrigerator, noise from the air-conditioning system (it was too noisy with the AC switched on and too hot with the AC switched off), and also noise from the other guests. You could hear the footsteps and voices in the hallway as if the people were next to you, not to mention the noise caused by the pipes running through the walls. Apparently, soundproofing was not a priority when the building was renovated. As a result of the noise and the heat, sleeping turned out to be very difficult. A good night's sleep it certainly was not. Finally, the bed was too small for two persons in my opinion. I guess it was only 160 cm wide. Luckily, the breakfast proved to be well made and extensive. Even then, breakfast was made less enjoyable because one of the staff members stood just outside the breakfast room while smoking two cigarettes, bringing the smell of cigarettes into the breakfast room. All in all, the place felt outdated to us and lacked the modern comfort which can be expected from a B&B in this price range. Would not recommend.

Staff was very polite and helpful. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfy. The aircon was very helpful and breakfast plentiful. Fantastic location to access the city centre and walls
