We stayed with our extended family and had an incredible time. The hosts have covered every detail imaginable around this property. We traveled with family of all ages and there was so much for everyone to do and enjoy. There are so many magical places to discover. We absolutely loved our time here and hope tp teturn soon!

Cliffside Falls... is exactly that! It is a magnificant home built on a cliff with a beautiful water fall and streams running continualy to lull you to sleep at night and relax you during the day,
We had a wonderful time- all 15 of us! Everything we needed was provided in the house and outside. There was
no stone unturned. Rick and Corrine have thought of your every need when preparing this home for guests. They were very responsive before and during our stay.
Never have we stayed in a VRBO home that was so well stocked with dishes and cookware... even down to birhthday candles!!
And then as we sat on either one of the porches and took in the view of the mountains--well... it could only have been better if it was fall and they were all different colors.
Truly fabulous views and sounds and birds flying over head! The humming birds were also in a plenty!
We would HIGHLY recommend this beautiful picturesque
place to anyone. It even has a private apt that you can stay in too, if needed!
We golfed, took a scenic train ride to see eagles, kayaked,
played games, walked the trails around the house and others and a couple of us even climbed the face of Seneca Rocks! Oh... a trip to Lost River State Park was also a treat!

Cliffside Falls was definitely a perfect vacation home for our family get-together - we were celebrating our Mom's 90th birthday!! The home was well-suited for all of the various family groupings; lots of space to spread out. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could even think of needing. With the additional kitchens it was even more convenient to fix food for 13 people. We appreciated all the various amenities (hot tub, corn hole, games, puzzles, pool table, etc.).The hosts went above and beyond to make us comfortable - left a beautiful gift basket filled with all sorts of goodies; even left a gift for our Mom! It was nice having a supply of toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, paper plates, coffee, etc. We've been doing this yearly for the past 10 years, going to different vacation homes each time and Cliffside Falls is by far, the best one yet!! (And the falls were beautiful!!)

This place is amazing! The owners are right on top of everything, down to the last detail. They have all amenities covered in the kitchen for any cooking. There is silverware, appliances, and everything you need to make just about any type of meal. Every room is fully decorated to fit the mountain atmosphere. The details and thought put into each room is extraordinary. The views and the outdoor environment is by far the greatest part of the property. Everything was absolutely breathtaking. Our stay at Cliffside Falls was very enjoyable! Views of the mountains on one side of the house, and the beauty and soothing sound of the rushing mountain stream and falls on the other side! We had a group of 13 with ages from babies to grandparents and all had a most wonderful time. The house is beautiful, spacious, clean and completely equipped with just about anything you could ask for. All of the bedrooms were lovely in different ways and beds are extremely comfortable. The views were gorgeous. The outside grounds were as well equipped as the inside of the house, with many chairs, decks, yard games and fire pit with wood provided. Can’t say enough good things about this place!

We booked Cliffside Falls for a couples retreat and it exceeded our expectations. There was no need to leave the property as Rick and Corinne have thought of every detail. The communication before we even got to the house was fantastic. Quick prompt replies to a variety of questions were received. The house was beautiful and fully stocked for our enjoyment. The outside areas of the house were enjoyed by our group. We had a large group and we had plenty of room for dinners, gathering together and sleeping. Everything was amazing! The views, house, and yard were even better than in the pictures. There's a ton to do at the house like corn hole, horseshoes, etc and two different hikes: the stream and the waterfall. Our 5-year-olds were able to do the hikes but we did not bring the toddlers.
The hosts were so great, accommodating, and communicative. In fact, we left something and they shipped it back to us!
Have a plan for going places by downloading a map. We visited Smoke Hole Caverns and the fishery.
No one wanted to leave and we will definitely be back!

My large family group of 15 (aged 11 to 85) had the most wonderful vacation, largely due to the most beautiful, well-appointed vacation home we've ever stayed at. So much attention to detail from the moment we arrived to a wonderful welcome basket of goodies and personalized note. My three adult children are all cooks and were amazed at how well stocked the kitchen was, which made it easy to prepare large family meals with every kitchen tool you could imagine and then some. The home was super clean and comfortable. Everywhere we looked there were little extra touches and notes to explain things. We loved pursuing all the books, pamphlets and information regarding the area. We enjoyed the game room, and my grandchildren spent most of their time there. The waterfall and mountain views are amazing and spending time on the patios was my favorite. There were plenty of different seating areas was nice. We were never bored with all the things there are to do without ever leaving the property. I could go on and on... my family kept thanking me over and over for choosing the perfect place... we hated to leave and hope to return again someday!!! Rick and Corrine were amazing hosts, thank you for everything!

I have run out of superlatives for this property. Rick and Corrinne have done an utterly amazing job providing the perfect getaway for a large group. From the outfitting of the house, to the thoughtful, little things, everything was beyond expectation. The panoramic view is instantly calming; as if that were not enough, the waterfall sound in the background soothes the soul. We had many crystal clear nights seeing thousands of stars, and shooting stars....awestruck is the closest I could describe that sky. Rick and Corrine were solicitous, informative, and communicative prior to and during our stay. I cannot recommend this property more highly! We look forward to returning to this very special place.

Our family visited the last week of July 2023, and found Cliffside Falls to be beyond our expectations. Our party included my husband and myself (60’s), three adult daughters with their spouses, (30’s), two teenage daughters, a three year old, 11-month old, and a newborn. The home had bedrooms for everyone, and 4-1/2 baths, so it was spacious enough for all. The home itself is very comfortable with high end furnishings and is very well stocked with supplies such as tissues, garbage bags, soaps, spices, etc. It was nice not to have to purchase these items at the local Food Lion. The house is very remote; no neighbors at all and about 15-20 minutes to town. The view from all directions is stunning. Our family was content to stay in and be together; we were not interested in dining out or exploring the area, so this home was perfect for us. The Wi-Fi worked well, we were all able to stay connected. The game room was a lot of fun, we spent a lot of time challenging one another to re-matches! We also took advantage of the outside games; cornhole, horseshoes and darts, as well as a fire pit and hot tub. All of the adults went to see the falls on the property, but the trail is very steep and difficult to navigate. Not a place for children to be unattended. We hope to return again and stay in this lovely home.

Our family of 11 just had an amazing 5 nights at Cliffside! This was our 1st time visiting West Virginia and we were not disappointed! The Mountain views are incredible and the sounds of waterfalls heard from every space on the property was beyond relaxing!! Plenty of space for us to all spread out, yet lots of cozy spaces for hanging out together, especially meals together! The kitchen was the most stocked of any place we’ve stayed before, and the personalized welcome basket for our family was such a sweet gesture! There were Plenty of things to do, but the corn hole boards and card games were definitely our favorite. Amazing communication from the Owners as well! Overall it was a 5 star vacation!!

This beautiful house had ample room for the 16 of us. The kitchen had everything that we needed to prepare our meals every night. We all loved looking at the mountains from all of the decks and from the living room. It was a short drive to town for the pool and grocery stores. Every room has an incredible view in addition to the many balconies and decks. The onsite trails to the waterfall and stream were great and once we walked down the road we understood why the host listed it as a local hiking option--those of us who enjoy hiking loved being able to hike right out the door!
Those who preferred not to hike stayed happily busy playing darts, pool, arcade games, horseshoes, and I know I'm forgetting the other options--there were many! The table in the screened in porch was also a favorite board game location.
Our family hopes to return for another visit someday!

This house was absolutely perfect! We came from Northern VA and the drive was beautiful. When we pulled up to the house, we were shocked at where the house was situated - beautiful mountain range view, and overlooking a flowing creek. The hike to the waterfall was great! The firepit and hot tub were perfect for a February weekend! The owners are extremely thoughtful and had great communication with me. They left us a beautiful and delicious welcome basket that we all enjoyed! The game room was super fun too! The house was very clean and they have really thought of everything. There wasn't anything that the house was missing/needing. A little pricey but would definitely stay again!

This was by far the best mountain home we have stayed in. It was perfect for our large family vacation - with children ranging age 1-10 and 6 adults. It was impeccably clean and stocked with thoughtful care. There was even information about star gazing during our stay, plenty of info about the local area and activities and honestly so much to do on the property we never wanted to leave. The trails and waterfalls on the property are spectacular. This home and the hosts are such gems. We are already hoping to come back soon!

There were 13 of us. It is a sidling reunion for us. Stayed there last year and they all wanted to return for this year. Very nice lodge with everything that you would want from cooking to outside activities that we could do as well as a hot tub. Owners are very nice to deal with and answer any questions that we had. The most spectacular location I've ever had the opportunity to stay - the house literally overlooks rushing waterfalls. The grounds and house are well kept and appointed as you would expect for this price range. Hiking and outdoor opportunities are plentiful and right outside your door. Everything about this rental was easy, went smoothly and turned out amazing. Rick and Corrine have earned their title of Premiere Hosts. I requested special pictures and they responded quickly and helped me out. They checked to make sure we had made it and to see if we needed anything. Their house was awesome. From the personalized card and gift basket to the all the special touches in the home that made it feel like a luxurious get away. The home was super clean and had everything you could need from entertainment, linens, kitchen utensils and basics to the awesome trails, scenery, and stars. Very therapeutic vacation for those who need to escape the noise of everyday stress and work. We stayed put for the week, made gourmet meals, hiked, went in the hot tub, made fires nightly, built puzzles, and just enjoyed time together. Exceeded expectations!
We loved our stay at Cliffside this past week. The property is BEAUTIFUL! The pictures just don’t do it justice! You could tell that every detail of this rental was meticulously prepared by the owners. From the luxury bedding and complimentary gift basket and kcups all the way down to the small details like the toiletries and bowls of mints that could be found all around the house. This house is packed full of any and everything you could possibly need on your vacation. And that is a big task as there were 17 of us ranging from age 70 all the way down to 5 months. We enjoyed the hike to the stream and the waterfalls are breathtaking. The kids loved all the hiking and creek walking and of course….the GAMEROOM! The Mountain View was beautiful to look at while eating meals from the dining room and also from some of the bedrooms. Some of the other bedrooms also boast beautiful views/sounds of the stream. There are trails and quiet roads to walk nearby. We saw plenty of “wildlife” on our walks with the kids some salamanders and toads and even a turtle crossing the road! Also saw a lot of deer in the field below the property. We took some daytrips to nearby towns and parks but you really don’t even need to. There is plenty to keep you busy at the property itself. Excellent location for a family reunion!
I won’t repeat all the other reviews which talk about the cleanliness and exceptional stocking of the house - it’s all true. The communication with the owners was excellent as well - they provided tons of information prior to our arrival and checked to see if we made it ok (contactless checkin). I will note a few things that we weren’t sure of prior to our visit: The driveway is well maintained gravel (not asphalt). There is fencing around the main yard area by the cliffs, but there are openings along the driveway and at the point where you enter the waterfall trail, so care needs to be taken with kids (which they clearly note). The waterfall trail is not for very small children, but our 5 and 7 year olds were able to handle it while being supervised. There is a nice sized area in the yard that is mostly level and accommodated a badminton set and ladder golf. In the house there are three bedrooms on the upper level along with the game room, two bedrooms on the main floor, and a bedroom/kitchen on the lower level leading to the fire pit/ hot tub area. There was nothing we needed that was not available in the house, which was a huge improvement over other properties we have visited. Highly, highly recommended!

This home was in excellent shape, everything the listing and owners said it would be. Bugs were a little much after the sun went down, but no worries - off to the huge screen porch we went. We were on motorcycles and had no issues with the road up to the home or in the driveway. We loved our stay and will be back one day for sure. We meet the owners on our departure morning and what fantastic people.

We were 15 people ages 1-89 - and everyone had a wonderful time-gathering together in the house, in the variety of spaces outside, and along the gorgeous trails. And really, the house has everything. Beyond Expectations!!
The owners and property of Cliffside Falls went above and beyond our expectations! The homeowners were generous, caring, and checked in a few times to make sure we had arrived safely and that our stay was comfortable. The pictures do not do justice to the house and property. The house was clean, the welcome basket was kind, and we were impressed by how well stocked the kitchen was in utensils, dishes, and food supplies. Each of the bedrooms were unique and have their own charm, and own unique views of the waterfalls or mountains. The large living room provided space for our group meetings, and we enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, cornhole boards, and game room all weekend. Thank you for helping us to create memories that will last a long time, and for providing us a place to get away for a long weekend!!

We love the open floor plan where some can be in the kitchen, while others prep at the dining table, and others play music in the living room. In addition to the utterly amazing mountain vistas, this layout of being able to all be together makes this home ideal.
