Breakfast was lovely plenty of cereal Choice and fruit as well as a lovely cooked English breakfast .

The shower was non existent literally a squirt did not use . The bed was ok . But other than that it was pleasant . The owner wasn’t overly friendly not really a chatty chap but friendly none the less .

Good location, 5 minutes walk to the centre of town. Lovely and clean. Breakfast was very nice. Plenty of it and good quality ingredients.

Blackout curtains/blind would be nice. The sun streaming through the very thin curtains at 5am does not lead to a relaxing break. Very loud extractor fan in bathroom.

Room was fine, shower pressure on top floor could be better. Breakfast was stellar - freshly cooked and served with a smile. Staff friendly and helpful.

Staff welcoming and helpful. Hotel in superb location . There is plenty of free parking .. Easy access to restaurants and The Opera House.

The room was good size but looked a bit tired the toilet roll holder kept falling off when used, so holder could be better, shower not very powerful but on the whole was OK for the couple of nights we stayed. Lovely location.

The breakfast was exceptional. Lovely food and plenty of it.

The mattresses were very uncomfortable but the pillows were even worse. It was like sleeping on rocks.

Good location, great view from the room over the lake and gardens. Clean room with plenty of tea and coffee. Great breakfast too. Welcoming host.

Wasn’t a great fan of the electric shower, not very powerful at all.

The hotel is right by the park and lake and only a few minutes walk from the Opera House and shops. We spent some time in the visitors' centre. Our room was spacious with a large comfortable bed. The radiator in the room was on so we could dry the towels and not have them changed. Breakfasts were very good - there was no paper menu but probably most things were available.

The shower was a bit fiddly to get the right temperature but usually we got it right in the end. There was only one chair and one stool and the television was stood on a chest of drawers and where it was situated it made it difficult to watch comfortably - we had to sit at an uncomfortable angle. With the dark wet evenings it would have been nice to be able to relax on the bed with the TV directly in front. There was not a huge amount of 'worktop' space to put tablets, specs etc.

2 chairs would have been appreciated, Somewhere in the shower to put, soap, shampoo etc. maybe a corner shelf.

Super location. Lovely outlook over the lake, a short, easy walk in and out of the town centre. Handy private car park. No frills but comfortable, clean room with everything we needed for an overnight stay. Delicious breakfast.

The location was Excellent, Sharon the breakfast serving lady was an absolute GEM, Tea ,coffee, milk readily available in the foyer,

. Hotel was in a beautiful spot overlooking the boating pool in the park. Shops, restaurants all close. The cave was very close. Really enjoyed our stay.

3rd time of staying would not dream of staying anywhere else - parking facilities absolute bonus - lovely hot breakfast and and the lady serving breakfast absolutely wonderful

Stay here to attend daughter’s graduation. Comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast with more than we could eat!
