Liked the area.

The bathroom was not enclosed so you could hear the person in the bathroom. The fan didn't work. Despite us sending a text to the number provided we had no response.

The staff who we did meet were accommodating, friendly and professional. The building inside and the grounds outside are well kept, clean and tidy. Bagshaw Hall is a beautiful histrionic building.

Reception, check-in & check-out are not manned. One has to call a mobile phone and someone comes, which for us was for us unusual. We had to pay an additional £21 for breakfast. Both the continental and cooked breakfasts were fine. However for the price we paid for the accommodation we thought the breakfast should have been included. There is no dining area, the breakfast is brought to your room.

The room was well appointed, cozy and comfortable - particularly comfy bed! It had a lovely terrace overlooking the town, and it was a quick and easy walk down to the centre to have a wander. The parking was convenient, and there is an overflow carpark (with an excellent view!). It was lovely to be in a historical building.

Not a problem, but if you are tall, note that the Garden Suite has a historical-scale door and some low beams (very tall people might struggle!)

Breakfast was excellent, parking great and very easy reach to the town centre.

Just the walk uphill ba k to the room, very steep and long, but not an issue

The apartment was spacious and very clean. The kitchenette was excellent. Location was great - could walk to the village centre in 5 mins and to decent walks in the other direction

No fault of Bagshaw but our 2nd night was dreadful. We celebrated New Year happily but another group of very loud, rude guests stayed up making lots of noise until 2:40am. Spoilt the end of our break

Lovely hotel in a really central location.

The room was very comfortable and prepared like a Hilton . The kitchen area was especially useful as my daughter arrived late . The heritage building feels special but with no compromise on comfort .Bakewell is a few steps away down a fairly steep footpath and was very charming .The property is close to Chatsworth House which is exceptional place to visit .

No complaints . The place seemed quite full but no noise and parking area was close by. Our room was accessed via a number of stone steps so it would be worth checking access if that is an issue .

Great location in town with easy access to shopping, dining, and activities. Quiet, clean, and comfortable accommodations in a beautiful historic building.

Expecting bath requested bath but not available we booked breakfasts but didn’t arrive reception apologetic as someone missed our order no room cleaning we were told due to Covid but not really understanding that expected proper milk in fridge not long life plastic containers
