Clean breakfast very good

Food provision was very good. The breakfast was served fresh. English breakfast & continental available. Good value for money. Bar and restaurant serves food which was very good. Staff are friendly & helpful. Rooms were basic but provided basic needs including tea & coffee making facilities.

The bathroom could do with an upgrade. The mattress was quite basic and not comfortable. Needs an upgrade for a comfortable nights sleep. The entrance is not very inviting and the rooms a little basic. But considering the price it was ok.

Unfortunately the only pleasant thing was the staff who were super nice.

Not clean, bad location that you can’t walk to the city and you need a car, no proper breakfast was offered due to the Christmas period and instead the pub offered a “hamper” w some very old bread and bagels, the bed was super old and felt like its gonna break and last but not least, between the rooms there’s a connecting door that locks and unlocks with a simple room key that felt very dangerous, especially when we could hear loud voices of men in the middle of the night.

Paid for full English breakfast, but they were not doing breakfast so gave us a carrier bag with few bits in it instead

Acceptable facilities and I enjoyed the hands-off approach to the check out process and breakfasts. Appreciated the tea and coffee as well as control of heating in the room. There is not much else to say. Would probably come back as a no-nonsense budget option. Good location. Staff gave excellent and straightforward service.

The window panel somehow didn't sit flush with the frame at the top which meant that traffic could still very heard unnecessarily. The breakfast was acceptable but the black coffee at breakfast was quite weak, sadly but never mind.

The staff were wonderful...accommodating, thoughtful, very professional

We arrived late at night and the manager was very welcoming and we were able to have a nightcap before the bar closed. The breakfast was excellent. We would definitely stay again and next time arrive earlier so we can have dinner here too!

The bed was very uncomfortable. There was a very unpleasant smell from the drains for most of our stay.

Size of the room was great, the shower was fabulous

The switch to the bathroom light was faulty (which I’m told is a problem that has been asked to be fixed numerous times but hasn’t) so it felt dangerous to keep having to mess about with it to turn the light/fan off

The location is perfect especially if you like walking very central if you are driving

As I cannot walk far taxis are very hard to get You normally have to wait 1-hour for a taxi that is the downside otherwise the woolpack is perfect
