If you want a couple of days complete relaxation this is the place to go. Set into the natural environment right on the beach it’s heaven
Everything was perfect

I loved the setting in nature and quiet, understated luxury feel. The staff were wonderful and the breakfasts out of this world! The restaurant is so good it is in fact popular with guests who do not stay at the resort. Really exceptional ❤️

Details of the resort and service are both very impressive. You can hear the ocean and smell the grass in your room. Room is very clean and bed is very comfortable. Everything you need for a nice holiday is here.

Food is really really good in Mango Bay. Be it dinner or even breakfast, they are so good. The ingredients used are fresh and the taste is just so flavorful. The beach may not be as calm as the southern beach, but the water is clear, with soft sand minus the strong current. You can experience beautiful sunset/sunrise if you stay here. Oh, do go to their spa and try the massage because it is surprisingly so good!
Since the property is surrounded by trees and plants, you cannot avoid but to have mosquitoes and other insects. It'll be better if there's proper instruction on how to use the mosquito coil, if not getting some assistance from the staff. There's no phone in the room so if there's anything you need, you either call/text the receptionist using Whatsapp or you walk to the reception instead. I think there should also be more lights along the path to the rooms, as it can get so dark especially when the room is further up (in the mini-jungle I call it :) )

The staff is super friendly and helpful! Breakfast and location are amazing as well, definitely recommend !!

Excellent breakfast selection, buffet & menu items, included.
Both bars/restaurants are right on the water's edge and ideal for sunset viewing. Menu options a good mix of local style dishes.
The beach is not expansive but not crowded and the water very warm!
Outside the resort are several bars and restaurants for a change of scenery.
It is an Eco-resort and is trying to lead the way in the removal of single-use plastics etc., which is a good start.
Mango Bay is located 'out of town' so is a bit of a trek if you plan to spend a lot of time in Duong Dong.
Whilst the beds were airconditioned and sleeping is fine, the entire bungalows are not airconditioned. This was fine for us but may put others off.

so relaxed and quiet. Friendly, efficient staff.
the property is great Phu Quoc not so good. lots of overly large hotels and the island is going to lose any character.

Very beautiful place. Beautiful room. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful nature on the resort - great for small walks. The only negative thing about this place is that there was a lot of plastic on the beach. Even if the resort has a full time staff to clean the beach there was still plastic floating in the water. Sad.

beach was dirty. lots of plastic and debris

I wouldn’t rate it for honeymoon as the csnins snd rooms are quite open and any noise could be heard

Very rustic cabin, but also very comfortable and quiet. Bed was extremely comfortable. Food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner. Sunsets were wonderful.
Only downside was some building work going on at the very back of the property, resulting in noise. As we were by the beach during the day and it was only working hours, it didnt really disturb us, but nonetheless it would have been perfect without it.

quiet location & beach , staff were lovely. Loved the rustic ambience.
The snorkeling was disappointing off the beach & the snorkeling trip expensive in my opinion. A pool would improve the experience.

We are usually not a resort-style travelers, but this was truly an exceptional experience.
I was most impressed by the organization, consistency and well-thought little perks, showing that they know exactly what their guests need in every situation.
Yes, it’s not the cheapest, but you get a whole lot for your money.
Don"f forget to join the morning Yoga class ;)

We just had the most amazing week at Mango Bay and absolutely loved our paradise-bungalow with oceanview where we could see the sunset everyday from our big and lovely private terrace - and the outdoor-shower was just idyllic. The staff was very serviceminded and the cleaningstaff made our bungalow nice and comfortable everyday. Breakfast was amazing with so many choises. For us this was paradise staying in the middle of nature with everything that follows. There are many reviews about mosquitoes and lizards - well you’re in nature, either you love it or hate it. For us it was just a part of the experience. Like many people writes the water there and the restaurant is expensive, but there are several restaurants nearby and free bicycles to a nearby store, so you can fill up the fridge. We loved the free yoga everyday and the beautyful beach where there’s free snorkle-, kayak- and SUP-equipments. I would recommend renting an oveanview bungalow instead of the room - it’s definately worth the extra cost. We rented scooters and took trips around the island, and we found this the perfect place to stay on the westcost with a private beach and beautiful sunsets.

This review is from my friend who I was traveling together with, she got huge affection from geckos: the place is absolutely gorgeous. If not consider rooms with geckos it is a big plus to have a bathroom just outside in nature and hear the sea or trees while in bed. The hotel offers many activities, it is not boring to stay just there, it is also very relaxing and provides this feeling of remoteness. I really enjoyed the territory and the vibe. I would recommend this place but always would urge about geckos. I think if rooms wouldn't so unsealed or at least if beds would be very well sealed with a net that would give the confidence of no geckos in your bed in the morning, then this would be an absolute must-stay place!
Because the resort is Eco friendly and is situated in the forest, there is plenty of other living being other than humans. My own experience was so that when I went to the bathroom in the evening and the bathroom is in the open space, I looked at the mirror, and behind it, I saw a big tail movement making a round. I was completely freaked out. I called my friend to look at this with me as I was very afraid. We figured out it was a gecko of 30-35 cm in size! This was a very very scary experience, even if they are not dangerous, it is not that nice to have such a huge gecko in your room, later on, that gecko moved to my bedroom and stayed under the bed. Another gecko my friend has noticed in my bed under the mosquito net. That one was small but still, I don't prefer to sleep with it. When it is evening and you switch on the light in the room it will attract all geckos and I had plenty in my room. The rooms are not sealed at all. So due to this and because the mosquito net doesn't provide proper insulation I couldn't properly sleep for the whole stay (2 nights). The hotel doesn't have other alternatives than uninsulated rooms, at least I've been told this when called for an emergency to ask to sleep in the insulated place. This significantly impacts my score and overall impression of the place.

we looked for some negative points or improvements… nothing - the location, the bungalows, the restaurant and the service, everything was perfect. this resort also deserves its name as eco-friendly, much needed on this island.

Mango Bay is an extraordinary Resort. It is spread over three small bays which are all beautiful. The bungalows are in good shape and very quiet in the green. The two restaurants are beautifully located directly at the ocean with great views. The service for the rooms was excellent- with a morning clean up an a good night service with bug protection. The Wellness Center is relatively new and it is a beautiful quiet oasis - perfect for relaxation!
It would have been nice if there was more authentic Vietnamese food in the restaurant. There was free water in glass bottles in the room but if you wanted more water it was quite expensive - if there would be a place to just refill the glass bottles that would have been nice.

Beautiful views and great food and wine in the restaurant. Staff were amazing! free airport pick up and drop off was also great.
The bungalows are beautiful but a bit far away from reception. The walk to them was hard for my elderly parents. I would recommend staying in a bungalow close to the reception if you have difficulty walking.
