The staff was super friendly and helped us to upgrade room

The staff were fantastic and extremely helpful. They helped me arrange a birthday cake and delivered it to us too. They were great with our daughter. We stayed in the villa with a pool and it was perfect for us as a family. It is very close to the beach and shops too.

Nice location at a lake, close to the beach and a lot of restaurants. Nice pool, especially for children. Good children facilities and good quality breakfast and food.

The pool was great and the kids really enjoyed this part of the holiday. The rooms are big and spacious but smelt musty when we first entered. Once we got rid of the odor we were comfortable in the room with our family of four with two younger children. The location is really convenient - close to the beach and near paths for walking and running as well as various supermarkets, shops and fast food outlets close by.

The staff could be rude and refused to help at times mainly due to not speaking English but some wouldn't even try and just walked away. The breakfast was quite poor, the same every day and a very average standard of food available - when something ran out nobody was aware so you would need to ask for milk for instance and it seemed a hassle that they had to go and fill up a milk jug so the staff clearly haven't been trained and there seems to be no food and beverage manager as the standards were below par. We decided to eat out most other times including Christmas dinner because we wanted better food options. One day when we got towels to dry ourselves off they stank off urine so they hadn't been washed which was quite disappointing. The shuttle buses fly around the complex so we were worried about our kids safety at times.

The staff are really helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was really good! There was a wide variety of choices and it was mostly excellent! We also did the Christmas dinner, while it was unlike any Christmas dinner I have had, the roasted meats were excellent as was the sushi-mi and seafood options. There was also a wide variety of deserts. The location of this hotel is ideal. It's 5mins walk from the main shopping area in Yalong bay and very close to the beach. Our fav places to eat out was the food court, which is in the quieter shopping area on the same side of the street as the palace but heading inland. It's down stairs from the KFC, the people are friendly and the food is amazing and cheap!

There is nothing about the hotel that wasn't good. The pool is unheated, and was too cool for us, but that's because the weather was a little cool when we were there. That is not something the hotel can control. If I were to ask the hotel to improve something it would be to ensure there was an English speaker on the front desk, however we're in China and we were able to get by and get what we needed. It think it's important for us to at least make an effort with the language.
