The home was perfect. The views are spectacular and it’s fun to watch the surfers. It’s quiet but close enough to walk to restaurants and shopping. We would love to stay there again.

This is a great beach house for friends and family! We had 5 adult family members and we enjoyed all the comforts of home with being right on the ocean. It was fun to be just steps from the beach to take walks to the shops and restaurants in PB or just stay and play. The unit had a lot of space and good separation of space so people could be in different rooms and not on top of each other. This was helpful because we had a few people that needed to work and run undisturbed video conference meetings while there. They were able to do that in the office area or tv room area while the rest of us were in the main living room. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of room for multiple chefs. We loved the outdoor patio area and had a few BBQ meals. It was also nice because everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The only challenge was the shower head in the hallway bathroom hit my 6' son in the chest. I think a plumber could easily install an adjustable shower head that could work for adults and children as needed. I would definitely recommend this unit for a friends and/or family stay.

The rental started with being warmly greeted by Mary the property. She could not be more accommodating. The house was very clean and comfortable. It was the perfect spot and convenient to great pubs and restaurants all within walking distance. Away from the noise of the boardwalk we found this to be the perfect spot. This house had everything needed to be fully functional as if home. Thank you for the opportunity to stay at such a wonderful location.

All I can say is, “Wow!”. You can’t beat the amazing ocean views from this place and literally steps from the beach. We even got to see dolphins! The location was perfect to watch the sunsets, take a stroll on the beach or walk to one of the great nearby restaurants. The house was equally as great . It was very roomy, comfortable, had everything you could possibly need and Mary, the property manager, was very attentive and ready to assist in anyway possible. The beds had new mattresses and were so comfortable. The garage was well stocked with beach gear too! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our son’s birthday weekend!

The perfect place to see perfect sunsets! Mary was wonderful and it was fun seeing the surfers. Beds were very comfortable and water pressure in the showers was good. They supplied some drinks to get us started. Plenty of room for our group to spread out.

Wonderful spring break week- good surf break right below the house. Lovely sunsets and very comfortable for our 7 people.

Gina and Mary made the reservation and check-in process a breeze. Great location for amazing sunsets! Everything you need for a great beach vacation is there including beach chairs, bikes and boogie boards! I took away one star for the overall experience because as other reviewers have mentioned it is time for some new mattresses. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This place does not disappoint.

We’ve stayed at this lovely property 3-4 times, winter months….we are a senior couple. This home is PERFECT for 2 couples because of the home layout—-2 master bedrooms/2 living areas. Wonderful patios, wonderful sunset/surfing views….one level, great parking, great location. home is so elegantly and comfortably furnished. See my previous reviews for this property. Mary Barry, mgr is awesome, responsive, customer oriented….gives onsite tour at check-in which I love. Cant wait to go back (when i save up🙄)If you cook you will find everything you could possibly want. We eat out most of the time but I fo love to cook and would if I were there long-term…kathy C

My family of 4 adults and a 14 yr old had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Pacific Beach home. I'm saying "home" because that's exactly what it felt like! We were amazed at how welcoming and comfortable it was from the moment we walked in the door. It was spacious enough the we each had our own "favorite spot". And the magnificent view made it really hard to leave for sightseeing. In fact, one day we just stayed in! Gina was excellent at taking care of the details. Mary was attentive and made herself available for anything we needed. She was like our new best friend! Plus we had the pleasure of meeting the owner James when he stopped by to take care of something as we were leaving out one day. Everyone was thoughtful and attentive without being intrusive. The view was spectacular!! We enjoyed watching the surfers, people-watching from the porch and riding the bikes down the boardwalk. We were close enough to enjoy the restaurants and beach vibe yet in a peaceful, relaxed neighborhood. We all agreed that we'll be back!!

Couldn’t say enough good things about this property. My family and I stayed here for 6 days and were so pleased with our stay. The host was so responsive, the property was well taken care of, clean, full of the necessities. They had everything we needed for o ur stay. The rooms are very spacious as well

Nice property, but the beds were old and saggy. I ended up sleeping in a toddler bed because it was the only one that was bearable. I would love to stay again, if they replaced the beds. My back hurt all week.

This was a gorgeous location to stay. Sitting on the front porch and watching the ocean was amazing. The house was very clean. I did not realize that the extra family room was not off to itself, all 3 bedrooms lead into it, so it really does not work well as a fourth bedroom. Also, there is a ton of activity in front of the house. Cars continually pull up for the view and lots of people come to see the gorgeous sunset. I think it's good to know this so you aren't disappointed. The reason they come is for the view, which is spectacular! I felt very blessed to have it. I barely left the house. The kitchen was well equipped. Lots of thoughtful touches. It sleeps 6 adults well. We had 7 (husband and me, 5 grown kids and a grandbaby). Overall, I would recommend!

We stayed with family and school aged kids. The views are spectacular. The house is very homey and I like that bedrooms are toward the back so it’s a bit more private. We enjoyed every sunset that we were able to and it was just so incredibly relaxing. Mary was very helpful during the check in process and I felt very well taken care of! We will hopefully be back one day!

Excellent property, view and location. Clean and again beautiful. Management was fantastic with special thanks to Mary, Gina and the owner. Staff went above and beyond. When the air conditioning went out, a portable AC unit was provided (although not needed) and repairs to main unit promptly made. And owner provided a mattress topper for my elderly mother-in-law. Highly recommend. We plan to stay here again in the future.

Great experience for our family!

Five of us stayed at this magical house for 4 nights for a family reunion. We LOVED it! It has: a wonderful ocean view in a quiet neighborhood, a great layout, comfortable sitting, beautiful decor, a welcoming courtyard, a front (though narrow) porch area for watching the waves and sunsets, and an INCREDIBLBE array of recreation toys: all sizes of beach cruisers w/helmets, strollers, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, beach towels... and beach access (down many steep stairs, not good for elderly) This is not to say the house was perfectly pristine. If you are VERY picky about tiny things you can find "less than perfect" blemishes: light switches that don't work, a few older window screens that are salt-corroded and pushing out, a misaligned kitchen cabinet door, low shower heads, a front screen door that is difficult to open, and the need for extra bath towels and door hooks. (Also NOTE: the 180° ocean view is beautiful and unobstructed to the south, but has an unsightly power pole at its northern angle) But for us, the alarm system was most annoying. It announced EVERY time - to the whole house in a loud robot voice - which door or window was opening. (Though safe, we felt on house arrest at night (or early morning) when we wanted to go outside or open a window but didn't want to wake up those still sleeping!) However, these are small, slightly annoying things and shouldn't be deal breakers even in the least. It IS a magical house and I highly recommend.

From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of this property! The layout of the home was functional, the views breathtaking and the location was amazing! Mary was attentive and informative. We appreciated all the “extras”(welcoming treats & beverages, a variety of kitchen gadgets/supplies, beach toys & gear and ample beach towels). If you are planning on visiting San Diego, this property will not disappoint!!

Annual family vacation - 9 people ages 3 to 83. Excellent location with great access to the beach. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of beach toys and chairs, a wide array of sleeping options. We all agreed - it was one of the best vacation rentals we have shared.

Yearly trip to the beach with friends. Perfect spot for watching surfers, kite surfers, waves and beautiful sunsets. Love how close to the beach this house is and it has everything you need for a perfect beach day.(coolers, chairs, mats, towels, umbrellas and beach toys galore!) This rental was definitely the best equipped home we have ever stayed which made the week even better. Mary was amazing! So responsive and took care of all our needs! Love this home and would love to return.

This was our second stay at the property. The location and view are my favorite parts. There is plenty of room and all the essentials are included which is very convenient. Mary is very attentive and helpful with all requests. The only negative was that the furniture is showing its age (bed was very creaky and couches sag, and the hall shower is unusable with no water pressure. Small inconveniences that would not stop me from booking this property again.

This is the 5th time in 15 years that we have stayed at this house. We always keep coming back because of the wonderful family and friend memories we have made over the years. I know we will come back again!
