Although the hotel is currently under renovation - 2 floors are completed to a very high standard (we were given a feee upgrade also 🙂) at no point during our 2 night stay were we disturbed by any continuing renovation works. The staff are very friendly & helpful. The beds are huge and very comfortable, with bed linen and towels of a high quality. The chef on our 2nd morning came out to chat to us, again very friendly & the breakfast he made us was just fabulous even though it was way too much of what we would normally have, fresh fruit, cooked breakfast, pastries, meats/cheese, juices, tea/coffee. The location is perfect, directly across from the north pier in the centre of town. We will definitely be going back. Thank you, Team Muthu Siobhan Mowat

he hotel was in what they called a soft launch. The lift wasn't working so staff said they would find our elderly parents a ground floor room. This was up 30 stairs. We were told we had a sea view but as we had arrived early we had to wait . On return to reception we were told our package did not include that. Staff were very poor and bar staff did not know the bar

Great location, very friendly staff and the room was lovely!

We were moved to the Alexandra Hotel as this one had been closed due to needing repairs. The hotel we were moved to was nice, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really nice, good selection of items that would appeal to everyone.

It was a little further away from the harbour than our original hotel, but it was still within walking distance. There was some noise from people in a room above ours, the first night it went on quite late and kept me awake, thankfully it calmed down for the proceeding nights.

The hotel was closed for renovations and I feel this should have been recorded on the booking.com website. The hotel we ended up with was ok but I had a disabled family member with me and we had to leave the sleeping venue to walk to our supper in another hotel. It was all a lot further away than we had planned for. The staff in the replacement hotel were helpful but there had been a mix up over the date and I had to produce my emails as proof of booking date. It was not the relaxing stop over we had planned.

we stayed in the best western not the muthu as it was closed for refurbishment, room had a good view, it was clean and the beds are very comfy, staff were friendly especially the girl behind the bar and on the front desk, breakfast was good, help yourself affair so you could have what you wanted

the towels in our room were wet and the towel dryer/ radiator in the bathroom was not working, it took us a whilst to sort out dry towels so we could have a shower as there was a problem with their tumble dryer too, bit more of a walk into town for something to eat as no evening meal available than the muthu we should have been staying in.

This hotel is still under refurbishment so they put us into one of their sister hotels the queens, very efficient we had breakfast at this hotel and our evening meal at the Alexandra a short walk away. We could also use the leisure facilities at the Alexandra

WELL ACTUALLY I WAS RELOCATED TO THE BW QUEENS HOTEL AND FEW MINUTES FURTHER AWAY AS THE ORIGINAL HOTEL WAS CLOSED ! It was very comfortable anyhow

I didn't actually stay at the Muthu Oban Hotel. I was transferred to another hotel - at VERY short notice. I cannot therefore comment on this hotel. It is now a building site and has obviously been like that for months!!

I made my reservation over a year in advance and requested seaside view but never got it. Otherwise all else was fine!

they changed us to the Muthu Alexandria Hotel because the Oban hotel was closed down. the Alexandria is very comfortable, excellent staff.

The hotel was not ready to receive guests as the corridor leading to our room had no lighting. There were light fittings on the floor. The 2 nd night the staff added battery operated candles. However they were inadequate. At least they tried.

The staff particularly waiting staff and reception very very helpful, had a problem with TV when first arrived and it was sorted within 15 minutes, nothing was too much bother

Room was very clean spacious bed comfortable. Breakfast was superb great variety to choose from, would recommend hotel, if I am back at Oban I would certainly go back to this hotel.
