Great breakfast, very nice place near to old castle

Our room was in modern accommodation outside the main building but that was fine for us. The room had a table and seating area inside and outside on our own patio, which was secluded from those on either side. Breakfast was inside the inn. There was plenty available and the owner ensured that we never ran out of anything. The area where the hotel was, was quiet at night.

The hotel is situated outside Bamberg and you need to use your own transport if you want to visit this beautiful City. There is a shuttle bus but not frequent. A personal dislike for fish tanks (especially when one looked dead!) when I'm eating and I suppose I could have asked to move tables but it was all set out.

I think that the position on the map in the Booking is not correct.

Free parking on site. Pleasant location outside the city centre.

Buses to the City centre only run every hour and stop running at 6 pm. You then have to book a taxi which takes at least 1/2 hour to come.

breakfast was regular, however, the host gave us extra requested items (oat flakes). Also we received a water kettle upon request, which I think in Germany is not regularly supplied with the room.

Ample of parking spaces, good rooms, friendly staff and a fun walk to the city in a nice environment. Very good shower, which is welcome after the walk to the city.

If you want to sleep early, the sound coming from the biergarten might be too much. However, this was only until around 11 while we where here and not an issue for us. Additionally, the location is good for visiting the city, but do be wary that it is about 30 minutes walking in a hilly environment.

Good hotel situated outside of town centre which suited us well. Bus available every hour (but finishes early Sunday night) or a pleasant half hour walk into town. Good food and drink. Nice room.
