Non respect de la chambre demandée Twin avec balcon vue océan On nous a présenté un RDC même pas twin En plus l hôtesse n a pas été aimable en râlant on a eu finalement une suite avec balcon pas vraiment vue mer avec un lit d appoint pas confortable et chambre bruyante devant le service room Non respect commercial

Schöner Strand (aber Umbauarbeiten!!), schönes Meer. Staff war freundlich.

Überall wird umgebaut. Am Strand fahren Bagger. Der Lärm beginnt bereits um 7.00 Uhr. Das Hotel ist lieblos geführt. Das Buffet immer ähnlich. Zum sitzen nicht besonders ansprechend. Der Barbereich ungemütlich. Garten nicht schön beleuchtet. Es gibt nur 1 Restaurant. Alles in die Jahre gekommen. Nie wieder!

In an ideal location just overlooking the beach. Staff were excellent , very helpful and welcoming. We had a fabulous time. Enjoyed the free water sport activities too.

Lots of options, great chef, amazing location

Too much assistance from butlers. Each day they introduced themselves to us to offer their services. This is not a bad thing but we prefer less attention. Too much rain….

The place is amazing and the staff is so kind!

They must fix some rooms because during night you can feel noises like pumps or engines.

Spacious room, clean, elegant, good BF, good seafood dinner buffet

Reception staff was not nice, The hotel is very expensive and doesn't give you a good value for the money compared to.other hotels which are a bit cheaper but much more nicer and have a resort atmosphere unlike this plain dull hotel! Receptionist and reservation staff are very rigid and not flexible at all.

I liked everything about the property, the staff are friendly, the facilities are good I’m definitely coming back with my kids

Very nice and relaxing beach. Excellent buffet for breakfast and dinner. I like this hotel, so decided to extend our stay for another few days.

Very clean, calm relaxing hotel, abundance of areas to sit around the pool. Beautifully set out group of pool, loungers were cleaned & prepared for guests early every morning Staff were always friendly, polite, welcoming and attentive

The a la carte menu wasn’t very comprehensive, although the food was excellent

The gardens were in need of a tidy up and this was underway so should look excellent once completed - winter in Mauritius just started (May) so I am sure this will allow the borders to be sorted. The drinks were a little expensive with a small beer at £5 and a nice South African KWV White £39 a bottle

Lack of communication when changes were made to the breakfast location.

Very impressive breakfast and dinner buffets! (Worked very well with the 'themed' dinner buffets, e.g. 'Asian', 'Indian' night etc. - and the desserts were to die for ;-) ). Great location with the beautiful private beach! Spacious rooms. Also great service given that we were able to get a late checkout free of charge.

The plantation restaurant was a little weird.. (wouldn't recommend although the food was good). Overall atmosphere at the hotel could have been better.. a little pricy as drinks were not included in the half board.

We enjoyed every minute at Residence. the room was arranged as our request and very clean. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. My smaller daughter had a severe stomach and was crying on the way back to the room and before we even get back to home, the doctor is already there waiting to see us! The doctor gave her some medicine and she was all fine in an hour and already back to the water. Great food, different themes everyday. We are already planning to come back next year.

We made a booking for snorkeling two days earlier as it has been very demanding but as we showed up, we were told that we were not on the booking list. So we missed the snorkeling that we have looked forward because we are leaving the next day.

Hotel premises, rooms, public areas, pools, are very good. The food, both at breakfeast and dinner, is very tasty and with a lot of variety. The beach is amazing and the kindness and the helpfulness of hotel employees are five stars!

We had two problems during our stay at the hotel. One the first night with the digital lock of the door of our room. The reception, concierge and the maintenance team tried to solve the problem right away despite the late time it had occured, They couldn't that night but they did the next morning. The hotel highly compensated the little annoyance we had. The hotel provided a very good service to solve an understandable operational problem. The second problem occured during check-out. All the prices at the hotel are listed in Mauritius Rupees. At check-out we were asked in which currency we wanted to be charged, we chose Rupees. The prices invoiced were different from the ones in the prices lists. We were told that the discrepancies were due to the fact that the hotel accountancy system is based in Euros, not in Rupees! As such the prices differences were due to the daily exchange rate volatility... This is a management error that should not occur! Either the hotel accountancy has to be changed from Euros to Rupees or prices should be listed in Euros and not in Rupees. The way it is implemented with a mix of the two currencies doesn't make sense! I hope this comment and the one I made at the hotel will help solving this problem because everything else was perfect and should not be jeopardized by an easy to solve problem!

Location, the beach/pool, room itself and interior of the hotel. All was great. Buffet breakfast was great, but would say variety of options was at the lower end of 5* breakfast. Nevertheless, all tasted good

Did not like The Plantation restaurant for a la carte dinner at all. First of all they messed up with our booking, but most importantly quality of the food and overall experience did not correspond to the high prices in their menu. Think we got way better food in less fancy places in Mauritius. Very overpriced restaurant for what you get. Location is great though. Their other restaurant that offered buffet dinner was nice.

Still allow people to smoke. For the money we paid, half board, i think this makes the hotel very over priced compared to other hotels

We spent amazing week in this beautiful hotel. Staff was really kind and helpful. We had clean, comfort and large room with lovely balcony and ocean view. Breakfast and dinner had a good quality and diversity. Houstboat offer a lot of activities. I definitely recommend snorkeling. We had our own car, so we can join other activities and other parts of island easily. In future, this hotel will our first choice at Mauritius.

when it was raining, floor was all wet everywhere in corridors. we missed some life in hotel, like chill music at the beach and pool and in the evening

Beautiful sand azure seas kept clean Swept daily. Staff were 100% attentive The restaurant staff were amazing. The manager of the restaurant was more than accommodating. The hotel manager Kelan was so understanding of my issues showed great sympathy and was more like a friend.

I. Couldn’t fault the hotel.

Lovely well built colonial style property with gardens designed to attractive native wildlife - date palms were a highlight with the local bats visiting every night. Rooms were very large and well equipped and our garden room had a partial sea view from balcony. The swimming pools were beautifully laid out with quite a few options plus an adult only area and beds to lay under trees in the garden or umbrellas around the pool. Buffet was good morning and evening. Entertainment was local singers and okay. The Chinese New Year show was brilliant. The open bar and lounge area was nice with views out to the sea and restaurant also overlooking the sea. Access to the sea was direct - but a short walk took you to the wide beach with A la Carte restaurant. The sand is beautiful soft and hardly any coral. Plenty of sun beds towels water and attendance on the beach and around the pools. Staff helpful and friendly. Spa was lovely and the gym also very good.

As there were not so many people staying at the hotel on our last 5 days the evening buffet was cancelled and the beach restaurant closed. Then all food was a la carte which we were not so keen on. The menu is a bit limiting and repeated. Also the service was not quite up to standard.
