Everything about the place is pure charm. Wonderful location and interior. Huge, comfortable rooms. The best staff. We couldn't sleep one night due to the awful nightclub a few buildings away. They gave us a new room without hesitation. Truly great service. Lovely breakfast too.

We loved our stay, the staff is amazing and super helpful and friendly! The room was beautiful and they went out of their way to make our first night as a married couple special! Breakfast was also super delicious.

It was a bit noisy as our room was above the restaurant.

Location is good as it close to many attractions and bars/ restaurants.

The rooms facing a courtyard gets a full on service and bar noise from early hours from breakfast prep to the last drinker to leave. The cleaning staff are so loud and disturbing from early morning- not so peaceful or calm in the morning! Rather annoying and they don’t care to keep a silent chat and shout to each other from distance.

If you want to stay in an old crapy and very noisy hotel, pick the Cape Heritage hotel. The noise from the street is really bad and you cannot sleep. They have earplugs in the room so I could have know before stepping into bed. Service was bad with the night shift concierge and we checked in the next day to go to the V&A Waterfront hotel, great recommendation.

This is a wonderful historic hotel in a lovely area. The rooms are large and very clean. The jacuzzi is an added bonus. You can even book to have it all to yourself with the hotel staff. The staff are all very kind and helpful. I would 100% recommend this hotel.

I would give breakfast a miss and try a local cafe in the area instead.

In a great location, close to nice bars and restaurants within the complex and across the road. Not too noisy except for one night on the 1st when everyone celebrates each month. The room was really big and the bathroom was great. The bed was very comfortable and we were able to sleep well after a 36 hour flight. The staff - Sam and Hilton were extra lovely and the breakfast was really good. Would recommend and will come back to stay.

The old keys they use all over Cape Town make it a little hard to lock and unlock your room. But the hotel still felt very safe.

The rooms are lovely and spacious, with very comfortable beds. Cozy robes and a coffee machine makes the stay even nicer. The art throughout the hotel is something to look out for. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great and heritage square is amazing for all sorts of yummy food.

This hotel is located in the heart of the city. It is a bit noisy (as you can expect with the location being where it is), BUT, it's so central and so great to stay there that this almost doesn't matter. They do provide complimentary earplugs :) This is no reason to not go, just be aware.

We had read it online in advance, there is a bar underneath so there is some night-time noise.. But we are good sleepers so not a big problem

It was the first night of our honeymoon and we couldn't have been more happy with the hotel. The room was large with lovely decor. The location was also very good on heritage square surrounded by numerous bars and restaurants. The staff also went above and beyond and we highly recommend!
