Location was handy

The elevator was broken and was told most likely not repaired until July or August. ( our stay was early May) Although I received 2 notices the day before from them regarding our stay. nothing was mentioned about the elevator. We were told it was listed on their website but we couldn’t find it…. Nor could their manager! The hotel was expensive and serves an older clientele. Many (if not most who would find it a hardship or impossible to walk of 2, 3 or 4 flights to their room. An elevator is requirement! Finding another room in Galway is a challenge. Not informing people that there hotel is not accessible before they arrive is irresponsible.

The location was pretty central, and the staff was helpful.

The lift in the property was not working and I saw several older couples struggling with their luggage. I felt that there should have been more transparency when booking. The AC was not working in the room and the towel rack was not working either.

Location is good, very central to the heart of the city and within minutes walk to most amenities. Room was spacious, air conditioning and large bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Staff were pleasant. Lunch in the bar was quite nice although tables were not cleaned promptly despite low turnover. Cocktails were quite nice although slightly overpriced.

The main issue with this hotel is parking, the parking is located a ten minute walk from the hotel for an additional charge of ten euros. This meant we had to carry our bags for ten minutes in heavy rain. When we arrived to the hotel the lifts were not working and so we had to carry our bags further up three flights of stairs (staff at reception did offer to assist). Breakfast is ok, cooked breakfast quite nice, continental selection very limited. We had not pre booked breakfast and felt the breakfast staff were a bit overkill with payment on the morning.

Estupendamente ubicado en el centro de Galway, muy cerca de todas las atracciones y la estación de autobuses. Con restaurantes y cafeterías muy próximas. Habitaciones muy amplias, cama cómoda, buena calefacción.

Que no funcionaba el ascensor (porque estaba en reparación) y no se hizo ningún aviso con antelación (llevábamos una maleta grande y pesada). No obstante, había un chico que subía las maletas por las escaleras

L'hotel ha una posizione meravigliosa, abbiamo soggiornato in una camera super spaziosa. Ottima la pulizia e lo staff super cordiale.

Purtroppo durante il nostro soggiorno l'ascensore era fuori servizio e avevamo la camera al secondo piano,con papà anziano non è stato comodo.

The corridors are a little dated. Finding your room is fun. The place is a maze. Especially after a night on the town but we found it funny

Location of the hotel, hotel staff, breakfast off the menu, best French toast I have ever eaten, maintenance staff fixed our electric blinds and came back twice to check on them

Shower head could have been better

The position is perfect, nearby the train station and the city centre. Also the departure harbour for the Aran Ferries is easily reachable walking. Beds are comfortable Staff is nice

The room was really noisy, noise from the outside and noise from corridor and rooms around ours. The sink in the bathroom was clogged The room was provided just with two towels for three people. The first day I asked for that and the girl at the reception was so nice to bring me the towels, but after cleaning the room the day after, they left again just two towels. Not a big problem, but a bit annoying.

Location was excellent.

Hotel looked as though it hadn’t been updated in 10-20 years. Beds were lumpy, very worn and the springs were audible each time someone moved in bed. Room backed out into an alleyway and was not what one would have expected for the price of over 300€

The staff were very friendly and helpful for the entirety of our stay. There were quick to fix the one major issue we had and also quick to offer recommendations and tips about where we could find a needed item and also a quick fix if we couldn't find what we needed. Location was also wonderful as it was right in the heart of the city center and within walking distance to shops and restaurants and also very near to the train station.

This hotel has obviously been expanded on and added to over time. The additions are not well done at all, we had the fuses trip in our section of the hallway while we were staying because someone attempted to plug in something they shouldn't have. When I say out section I do mean out section because it wasn't just us having issues with our power but both rooms on each side of us as well. The hotel staff were very helpful in fixing the issue and knew what it was as soon as I described the problem to them (this was not the first time it had happened and they'd had to deal with it). The hallways leading to the room were very oddly angled (and once you look at a map showing the hotel you'll know why) and there was a spot with some kind of construction tape running across the hallway where it joined onto the addition where our room was located. The bedding was horrible, we didn't pull down the sheets because the mattress cover was rough and scratchy, it felt like an very very rough terry cloth or similar, and so slept between the comforter and the sheet. Also there is no control over the heat and air in your room at all, you have to go down to the desk and have them do it for you; our room was near 75 F before I went to the desk and asked if there was something wrong with out A/C only to find out they had to turn it on for you. Overall I would not recommend staying here unless you have no other options or need somewhere near the city center.

Bedroom very dated although bathroom was modern

It's quite close to Eyre Square and the Latin Quarter, which is why we picked the hotel.

The bed was nice, and it was easy to figure out how the shower works unlike other places.

I arrived, paid the amount that I had to pay, then I get told that I have to pay a deposit of €50 per person in case something breaks, no other place has such a policy, and they could have said that before hand rather than telling me on the day and after I paid for the room. Ridiculous and for this incident, I won’t be back.

Excellent location and the breakfast was really great. Lovely to be in the heart of Galway.

The menu selection for bar food was limited and the bar itself was quite noisy when we were there. Difficult to meet up with other family members so we had to eat elsewhere.
