Surprisingly quiet room given it overlooked the place de la gare and the station. Good sized room, very clean, and towels were large and fluffy. Handy location.

Easily the worst thing is the parking arrangement. We chose the hotel because it had parking, but I wasn’t expecting this. It is a tiny multi storey about 5-6 mins walk away down a side street, not on the hotel property. The hotel’s reserved spaces are on the first floor, and to get there you must drive up an extremely steep, tight spiral ramp. I have a medium sized SUV crossover and I only just made it - a larger car would not. On the first floor it was extremely difficult to manoeuvre and park, and took a long time to get into the tiny space allotted to us. It was equally difficult getting down - you can see the countless paint marks on the walls where cars have hit the sides. I would suggest you look for somewhere else to park as this was awful. In terms of the hotel itself… Corridors and communal areas feel very old fashioned - 1980s style decor - and a little bit tired. Breakfast was very expensive for what it was. The bistro next door (which I think is owned by the hotel) is grim in every way - not a good advertisement for French cuisine. Again reminiscent of 1980s.

We were with a tour and came in a day early. The staff was extremely helpful in helping us take the TVG from Paris, telling us which train and the times. Location is right across from the train station. Good place to see the old town.

The room was big and bed was comfortable.

Although the hotel says parking is available we were advised by reception staff that only small cars can be accommodated so we spent a small fortune for on street parking.

Lovely old style hotel in excellent condition (possibly recently refurbished), and breakfast was excellent if a little expensive. Also close to several restaurants for evening meal.

Advice re parking could be clearer. Only found out about hotel parking facility 5 mins walk away after we arrived which has limited spaces. Parking at the station opposite is NOT an option.

The shower....is not a proper shower, it's a bathtub with a shower...

.The reception staff were extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly. They were so accommodating about storing our bikes for us, and the hotel was a perfect location from Angers train station for our early start the next day.

It was a little tricky to park nearby to drop things off but that's not the fault of the hotel!
