Exceptionally beautiful facility with great attention to detail and creating many artistic points of interest. The founding owner was an artist and this shows throughout the rooms, open space, the reception hall and dining room. It is always a great pleasure to be surrounded by beauty.
The general manager Leti is so gracious, accommodating, personable, and helpful.
Public parking is available across the street for a nominal fee. Leti will help you navigate getting in and out of the lot and onto the street.
The breakfast was beautifully laid out for the guests each morning and they were accommodating to our personal requests.
My husband is 82 and had some trouble navigating the stairs. We chose the house on the hill, which was taxing for him, but so well worth the climb. He could have used a few more hand rails.

The hotel is really very, very beautiful. The staff is very professional and helpful. Breakfast was very good, in the evening their restaurant offers many interesting options and carefully prepared, good food. The space of the house is truly wonderful.
The noise from the street could still be reduced a bit more. There is a good window, but given the amount of traffic on Madero, there should be even better insulation. However, after busy hours, noise is reduced and doesn't quite affect the stay.

Surprisingly beautiful and peaceful property on an unexpected side street.
Great place for a yoga or other retreat with 8 units on the property and a yoga room.
The property and rooms were very peaceful, clean and zen-like. It was very
quiet. There were good views and a convenient location. The breakfast was
way more generous than stated as continental and kitchen staff was so kind.
All the staff were kind, helpful and accommodating.
The property listed bathtubs available which was not the case. Even though they kindly made an
exception for me in a room not normally rented, the bathtub did not work, which is sadly not
uncommon in Mexico. Management does not stay on top of the workings of the property which is very sad.
The owners and management are kind but need to be more organized and train their staff to be more professional...and not treat this gorgeous property as a vanity project!.

Breakfast is always quite good and the kitchen staff goes out of their way to please. First morning they only had papaya as the fruit option. We explained that we don't love papaya and would prefer almost anything else. They offered to head over the the market on the spot and get something else for us. We said of course that wasn't necessary. But the next morning we had some delicious mango along with our huevos a la mexicana and pan dulce.
Shower is exceptional for the area. We have stayed at a few different hotels and Airbnbs in Pátzcuaro over the past 8 years. The water pressure here is very good and the water heats up quickly and stays hot for a decent length shower.
Not sure if all rooms come with a chimenea, but ours did and they provided wood and little starter kindling each night. Adds to the ambiance and does help with the chill during rainy season.
Not a complaint necessarily but know that the mattresses may be firm. Quality bedding, but firm.

the delicious breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room with a wall of boulders and glass and surrounded by family mementos. The staff was amazing and warm, they made us feel so welcome and didn't spare any effort to fulfill any requests we had. We vowed to go back next time we're coming to Patzcuaro!
If stairs are not your thing, this might pose a challenge, as this small and unique hotel is built on 4 levels, no elevator.

This is a very beautiful hotel, filled with art and very interesting architecture. The staff was attentive and helpful, and the breakfasts were excellent.
With parking across the street, it is perfect for walking to the main plaza, six blocks away.
Our room was very comfortable, and while it does get quite cold at night, there was a fireplace stocked with wood, but we never needed it.
We would definitely stay there again.
The location is a little far from the main plaza (6 blocks) but since we like to walk, it was fine.

In general a very lovely place, BUT...
- as it can be very cold during the night, the open fireplace is a very nice thing. Only bad that the chimney did not work properly and we nearly suffocated during the night. Staying awake the whole night, to make sure that our baby is getting enough oxygen.
- after this action a warm shower in the morning is quite nice as it had around 3°C. Bad only that the drain was not working properly and we could only shower for a few minutes before flooding the bathroom.
-Taking care about these problems meant, the staff didn´t believe us and thought we just made mistakes in fireing and was so nice to start the fireplace before we arrived at home without our consent! So we had the same night again and the shower did not work better the next two days.
-On the third day, even the breakfast was reduced until there was not enough bread.
- No WIFI available in the room we had.
So all in all, it should be a relaxing short stay to Patzcuaro as it is a very lovely place, but it was absolutely NOT and we had to wash all our belongings until we were smelling like living one week with campfire.

Super sweet staff and beautiful breakfast room with some of the best food we had in Patzcuaro! Great views from all the rooms except ours (la serena) but that was fine since we were there only one night. We'll go back in warmer weather and get one of the higher rooms!!
We loved the place! GREAT shower and the most comfortable mattress! Delicious food and super nice staff!
