Lovely setup in great location. Set between the Barbican and the City so ideal. Very friendly and well worth the stay.
Nothing springs to mind. Every thing was spot on

Avoid at all costs I fell down the steps day one and no ambulance could get in until 9 am because there was no one on the door all night and I had just arrived and didn’t know how to get to a hospital or anything! and when booking . com let me cancel my trip I canceled my Sunday to Sunday booking , which should have only caused me to be charged 69.00 after I left the trauma ward at the hospital within 24 hours of arriving and left the keys behind when I left . So they used MY PHONE which was left behind and my room was left unlocked when I went by ambulance in the morning , once they could find me and get in in MY Room , which she never should have gone into , then using My Phone in My room , which she had no business being in in the first place , to rebook the hotel! First for Tuesday and Wednesday , and then when the card still worked Wednesday through Friday ! By then the card didn’t work for Fri night and sat night so she then deleted those two emails FROM MY EMAIL off my phone and rebooked the “ hotel” for Sunday through Sunday AGAIN ! ALL OF THIS COSTING ME OVER 500 pounds BECAUSE she couldn’t keep using it once I got it back, but it had been busy taking cabs around Plymouth and taking bookings for June! This place which doesn’t even qualify as a hotel , it doesn’t live up to those standards , nor is it a B and B because they don’t serve any food at all is TERRIBLE ! Im straightening it out with my bank now i am home and reporting her in writing to the local police.
BECAUSE I certainly wasn’t using it while I was n the trauma ward all day and half the night Monday , while my phone was busy out on the town! Read the reviews ! the steps are dangerous, items have been " stolen" from their locked rooms, used needles .IDENTITY THEFT IS A SERIOUS CRIME AS IS BANK/ CREDIT CARD FRAUD!

This is a simple guest house with a great location for the ferry... just 5 mins drive away. Plenty of restaurants around so great for a one night stay.
The owner is super friendly and helpful.
The beds are OK but a little old now.

Location, a lovely spot and nice old building. So easy to get into town and the hoe. Near to a few nice eateries. A relaxed host. We had no problem with noise and the beds very comfy. Always nice to have an ensuite facility.

Lady very friendly

Room was clean and comfortable. Lady was very welcoming. Location was good.
Some of the facilities rather small and awkward, ie wash basin, kettle. Bathroom door wouldn't shut properly, bolt was broken.
Didn't realize that the booking was room only. Especially when the signage outside said B&B. That's misleading. I'm not sure how clear that was on the booking info.

Great location. Staff were very nice
The room was dirty, huge cobwebs in the toilet, very dusty in there. There was rubbish and fag butt's underneath the bed. The sheets didn't seem clean either. The shower was really not very good.. hardly got wet and couldn't wash properly. There were brown marks on all of the white walls. I think the hotel rooms need a little tlc

Was close to Plymouth Pavillions
No food available and take aways not allowed. Quality of furnishings bad. Decor bad. Customer service bad. Shower just a cold dribble. Smelly. One socket with extension lead. Pillows and duvet flat. Sheet did not fit bed. Nothing matched. Very scruffy. We were in the attic which was up lots of stairs. Noisy. Hard to find.

Norma was very welcoming and accommodating. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious.
Although very clean, some updating could be done in the rooms. Not enough sockets, specifically by the beds for charging phones

The owner was very accommodating and very nice. We managed to extend more stays at the hotel due to unexpected circumstances and was able to secure a room instantly. Facilities were excellent and the place is near the town centre
None at all

Great location. Host very friendly and welcoming. Good supply of hot water.
Uh
Kettle was a bit of a hazard for someone my age. Needed extension cable to reach plug but had to rest it in top drawer of unit to keep it stable.

the bed was comfy and it was close to town center
the room was a little cold and the people upstairs were noisy but that’s not the hotels fault

Perfect location, comfy beds, nice and clean, tea tray, nice staff
Bulb missing in bedroom and a few sockets that didn’t work but all in all nothing major, was a lovely stay! if elderly or struggle with stairs ask for a room on a lower floor

Norma was so welcoming when we stayed at the hotel. when I lost my phone on Friday she was really helpful and lent me the landline so that I could reset logins and passwords. the hotel was very clean. Norma is a fantastic host and can't do enough for you

Having never been to Plymouth before, I was delighted to have stayed at The Citadel House Hotel. A beautifully presented and well looked after B&B, full of character and charm! Our room was spotlessly clean and tidy. My son and I stopped in one of the top floor rooms. We both felt that the room supplied us with all that we needed for a more than comfortable stay. Will definitely be staying again!
