Llocation was ok, room was ok.

I waited in the heat of the day for an hour before anyone came to let me in. I rang the contact number 3 times, only answer phone. A young guy came and said he was Jai's brother. He wasn't bothered I'd waited an hour. There was no wifi, he told me it wasn't working. The good wifi was one of reasons I picked this place.

Location is good, it's cheap.

I arrived at check in time and there were no staff to be found. I called both numbers and tried contacting through booking.com with no pick up or reply. The neighbors (a restaurant and a travel agent) didn't help me at all and lost business because I decided not to eat at the restaurant and I used another travel agent despite being a bit more expensive. The staff did finally turn up after 40 minutes and then I had to wait a further 10 minutes for them to clean the room. Mosquitoes can enter the bedroom via the bathroom because the windows are permanently open, for ventilation, and when you close the front door the pressure created slightly opens the bathroom door allowing them to fly in. There is a risk of dengue fever and a slight risk of malaria in Kuala Tahan so I don't think it is too much to expect more prevention of mosquitoes entering rooms.
