Great place to stay on a budget. Clean, comfortable and lovely breakfast. Staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Louise!! We will definitely be back.

I have to say, the room was one of the nicest I have stayed in for an age. It was huge, well lit, well decorated with an amazing choice of table n chairs, chez longues and lounging chair. The bed was massive, and comfy. Nice size TV. AND......my dog was allowed in to stay as well!!! It also had a large bath and shower.

The entrance to the Hotel belied what I finally found in the room, first impression was that it was a bit dated and needed brightening up. The food/bar set up was very confusing for the night time, it almost seemed like it was only half open and there was no food. The worst thing about my whole experience....... and I have to say that this isn't necessarily the hotel's fault, but when I left for breakfast in the morning there was an overriding smell of stale cigarette smoke, which (even as an ex-smoker) is not a good smell in the morning. If it was because there are smoking rooms in the hotel, then they need to buy draught (smell) excluders.

Not enough parking thankfully was a weekend so used another company car park... but couldn't fault the hotel stay. Just a little snag but maybe the window could be upgraded to glazing which would quieten the room

Hotel was clean. Plenty of options for breakfast, cooked option was lovely. Staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful. Didn't have a certain drink in the bar but Paul went out and got it for us next day. The Royal George was recommended for dinner, food was lovely although portions very big for some of us, great if you're hungry though. Staff are knowledgeable about places to see in surrounding areas

Not a lot to do round about. Most touristy things were a bus or car ride away.

Lovely decor, clean, warm and plenty of room. Fantastic location next to park and castle. Very friendly owner and morning lady. Breakfast was incredible, kept me full until evening. Very dog friendly, cannot recommend Hall Park enough

Paul the host was brilliant could not do enough to help, the room was very nice clean and comfy. We didn't stop for breakfast as my wife had a covid booster the previous day and was not up for it. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the area, they have a small cosy bar with a good selection of drinks. If we need to stop overnight in Workington again this will be our first choice.

The check-in and breakfast staff were lovely.

At 11:30pm, a group of very drunk guests started continually ringing the bell for assistance. I asked them to keep it down but got laughed at and the noise continued. My partner went out to tell the guests to shut up (about ten minutes after I went out). The group were screaming in his face so he went back into our room. The noise continued, so my partner again asked them to keep it down. He did ask if they were checked in, only to be charged at and hit with their key fob (about a 4 inch metal fob). We couldn’t get through to any hotel staff so had to call the police! The police came to the hotel only to find that the manager had arrived to open the bar for these guests !! The manager did not come and speak to us, in fact it seemed his priority was accommodating the guests that had caused so many problems. An hour later, the group left the bar and created noise again ! The next morning we found out from the breakfast staff that the manager was in fact on site the whole time. This manager didn’t come speak to us that night or in the morning. This manager is now refusing to offer a full refund. Avoid this property !
