Great breakfast.
Complicated to get clothes laundered. No laundry bags in room - needed to go to front desk to get bag and checklist then take to room, inventory laundry items then bring filled bag back down to front desk. To get clean laundry guest needs to go down to front desk again and inquire. The desk does not call guest to tell them laundry is ready. Seems it would be easier to have bags and checklists in room and have Housekeeping pick up and return bagged laundry directly to guest. With a phone message to guest letting them know clean laundry is ready.

Beach
Limited fresh fish options on the menu.
Cost of beverages, I understand why other guests were bringing in drinks from outside the hotel.

estaba limpio, it was clean and the beachfront was a nice touch.
my original booking was for 4 guests and for some odd reason only 2 showed up on the reservation so the lady at the front desk charged us an additional $3,000 pesos for the two other guests.
i did not like the staff. I honestly felt like the staff was just watching us closely, a guy came to tell us that the front desk lady said that my grandparents (of 90 years old) could not be there as guests after I had asked the front desk lady if it was okay if my grandparents joined us at the beach. they are very old and we’re sitting on chairs the whole time not bothering anyone. We ended up offering the workers a tip to let them stay… that same day I had gone up to the front desk to ask if they had umbrellas for rent and when I was approaching the desk one of the girls laughed making a face as if she was bothered by us which was very unwelcoming.. in addition, on our last night we asked for towels and the guy working the front desk said they were being washed and would be done soon, this was at around 5pm, we checked up on the towels about 3x and nothing, we were out by the pool/beach area until about 8pm: the next morning they asked us to return the towels that they never gave us… how ridiculous. the pool and beach front was the only nice thing and rooms were clean but unfortunately we will never book here ever again… our first time ever experiencing something like this at a hotel resort…

Location cannot be beat. Infinite pool overlooking beautiful La Ropa Beach and the bay is incredible. The hotel is immaculately clean. The beds are firm on a cement block which I love. The food at the restaurant was great and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were there in low season and it was mostly Mexican families staying at the hotel. Most of the staff speak limited English but it was not a problem for us and we were always able to get the assistance that we needed. There is a watercooler where you are able to refill your water bottles and we brought our own which was awesome and saved money on buying water. For a nominal fee you can request a waterfront view room which is definitely worth it. I recommend being on the 2nd floor as the 1st floor rooms have limited privacy since they are facing the pool and walkways. For the money this place is a steal and we would definitely come back. Although there have been complaints about the Wi-Fi, we did not have a problem with it in our hotel room. A local rescue does weekly baby turtle releases right in front of the hotel at sunset which is amazing to watch.
The shower is big and amazing but the floor does get a bit slippery so be careful. The air conditioning in the room worked but I like a freezing cold room and it never quite got there for me so sometimes could feel a bit stuffy. Everything is super clean but the towels both in the room and for the pool are showing a bit of wear and tear and could be updated. We were in a double room and there was no room for a table and chairs which would have been nice for times that you wanted to eat in the room. Also no refrigerators in the room which was a bummer.

I liked the location, commodity of being on the beach. The room was comfortable. If I had planned to stay there in the beginning I would have requested a room off the beach/pool area. We were given a room off a walkway where you could hear people walking by. They have a good breakfast and nice poolside service.
Before I booked through the internet I walked into the hotel to inquire about the cost and the receptionist was not very informative. I almost didn't consider staying there, because I thought it was out of budget. He did not offer any packages like including breakfast or drinks, which I would have liked.

Great location and incredibly nice staff! Lovely view from room
Booking.com seemed to indicate we would have an ocean-facing room. When we got there, it was a patio facing. We had the room changed but had to pay more — a pretty reasonable rate. But were disappointed with booking.com for misrepresentation.

One of the best locations on the beach.
Only serves beer in a cup and only serves draught beer, plus it is expensive. Only two brands of beer served.

We always stay here because the location is great for the price.
There was alot of noise from construction repair to concrete. Pounding, cutting, etc. Seemed odd to do this during Christmas week.
