absolutely fantastic place, great troll vibe, passionate owner, restaurant view waterfall view, best breakfasts we had in while Iceland and we also got a great aurora sighting straight from the hot tub!

Really cozy and homey place. plenty of love has been invested in the environment, E.g. an educational trail, including live sized trolls! Value for money is excellent on the Icelandic scale!

The breakfast was good but it's only starting at 8.30, so if you want to start travelling around to visit the area it's not useful. The nice view of the waterfall

There's no service, neither room service nor at breakfast. You eat and you self tidy your dishes. No-one cleans the room or gives you a spare towel As said above, breakfast is served from 8.30, so it is not really useful for tourists. I thought the price was fair, but after the stay, I would say it is not. especially because there's no hotel service at all. I would not come back

Lovely place with delicious breakfast (we absolutely loved the salmon) and friendly staff. Also the diner (that must be pre-ordered during the winter season) was great. Rooms are cozy and comfortable.

The hotel didn’t receive our email with dinner pre-order so I do recommend to contact them via Booking not via email address. Here they answer quickly 🙂 Anyway, they accepted our order while checking us in so we managed to enjoy the dinner

The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere so I must be honest: my expectations where not very high. We had a friendly check-in, great dinner and a room with an amazing view. This combination made it to exceed our expectations! Would definatly come back. In the room you find a list with recommendations on points of interests, hot springs and other things to see / do. Would definatly check out Húsafell waterfalls. Stayed for three nights (january '23) and saw the northern lights 2 out of the three nights!

Not so much regarding the hotel but be aware of the location of this property. Averything is arranged but want to go out for dinner? Expect at least a 15 minute drive to Borgarbyggð where you have two big supermarkets and a few restaurants. Even though the stay was great, next time we will devide our vacation over more hotels due to the fact that the majority of big points of interest are > 1 hour drive.

Absolutely fantastic! The landscape around the hotel is so amazing! The "Troll Style" is so nice, the music in restaurant is so cool, food is delicious, staff is very friendly. Everything was fine, room was clean and me and my husband were really satisfied with the stay here. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone! :)

Short time for breakfast (8:30-10:00)

We are a family of 4 with 2 teens. we got 2 rooms, and absolutely LOVED the staff and facilities. Cabin like room were small, but worked well for us. we saw Northern Lights nightly because it’s so far away from city. if you love the city life, this isn’t your stay. if you like peace and beautiful scenery, please consider this wonderful place! very accommodating for whatever you need! Thanks for the memories!

This hotel is in a lovely little spot and the views are amazing around there. All the staff are really friendly and helpful and the food was nice too. They even let us check out later as the road to Reykjavik was closed due to the weather. We even saw Aurora Borealis on the night, and it was there for ages! We had a lovely stay here and would definitely recommend it!

The cottages were all separate with the main building and it’s facilities being nearby.

What a fun place. The property had many activities for families. The veiw of the falls was amazing. So beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and offered many selections. The resturant had a nice menu! The property was an excellent value.
