Dinner was superb, breakfast excellent. Room fantastic. Most impressed with friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. Hope to go back in spring.

The breakfast was beautiful, warm, filling and very tasty. The view is amazing and very relaxing to watch at the end of the day with a cup of tea on the little balcony. The bath is wonderful and there is one hell of a bathroom. You get a mini bottle of milk instead of those little cups of milk which is very useful. Chilled water - which is brilliant in this heat. Easy check in and check out process. Can't fault anything.

The room was spacious with a lovely view and it was very peaceful. Dinner was good and we were accommodated in the restaurant at very short notice. The host, Melanie, is very efficient and the choice of beers was excellent. We will be staying again when we visit the beautiful Derbyshire countryside again.

A minor point only but the bath could have a grab handle (useful for older guests) and the bathroom could benefit from a couple of hooks on the wall to hang clothes on a temporary basis.

There was so much to like, the Staff, the view, the Pub, Breakfast and of course the room. It really did exceed our expectation

our stay was Absolutley perfect. We were celebrating our grandparents 60th wedding anniversary, we stayed in 3 separate suites- disabled access and bathroom for our grandparents & two other luxury suites. The suites themselves are huge, great views, clean & beautiful. We had organized a table in the pub for dinner and the hosts were so accommodating, they gave us a great private dining table and were so gracious allowing us to decorate the table making it a really special stay.

Great service, accommodation, food and location.

Nothing to dislike.

Situated in a scenic location, our room was decorated and furnished to a high standard. The staff were very polite and courteous, nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend anyone to stay here for a quiet night with excellent food and a breathtaking view from your room. I couldn’t pick a fault with anything and will definitely be coming back.

It was a perfect stay.

Lovely quiet and excellently furnished rooms, well stocked toiletries and tea/coffee, etc. Not only a bedroom, but a super lounge area with sofa bed and large chair. Table and chairs also. Lots of storage. Couldn't fault the rooms at all.

Arrived on a Sunday evening, and we did know that the hotel was not doing food, but it might have been nice if they could have offered us maybe some snacks other than just nuts and crisps. We did ask about food before we came so would have been happy with some prepared sandwiches or similar for us to eat in our rooms later, as the bar closed at 8p.m. This is not an issue as understand staffing is still difficult in these troubled times.
