Property is in a very nice location. Nice rooms. Good staff.

Its not a good place for families. The property is more focussed on its restaurant than its rooms. Live music plays till 10 / 1030 in the night making it difficult for any new parents or families in general. The music can be very disturbing. Restaurant menu is also not suitable for multiple back-to-back meals as choice (esp. vegetarian) is very limited.

We had breakfast at Promonade Hotel which was very good. Location was excellent. Staff very cooperative. Decor very nice. Ambience good. Dinner was also fairly good.

Lots of Mosquittos. Facilities in room poor. Hardly any plug points. No place to keep stuff. Kettle on a slant shutter. Lighting bad. No MIRROR in the room so have to depend on bathroom mirror if some one using bathroom, other person cant get ready. No full mirror too. No shelves to keep small stuff. Not practical interior space.

Hotel is good and very well located but need maintenance and i liked their sharing breakfast with the Promonade their other hotel on the beachfront. the food was excellent little over pricey. rooms are good & decent but can be improved

the worst part of our stay was the bathrooms. horrible condition with very little space in the bathtub for shower and shower has no water force. all the walls of bathroom colours coming out very old and small WC. need big time change rather say complete renovation of the bathrooms. and for the price they take for the rooms totally not acceptable. highly overpriced place. will not visit again or dont recommend to others till they renovate the bathrooms and match the price with what service and facilities they give. And no buffet breakfast only aa la carte.

Breakfast was very good and the location it's perfect. Walking distance to the Beach. The common areas are also nice. The waterfall adds serenity and confort to the stay. The restaurante is clean and I tried a couple of very tasty dishes from the dinner menu.

The check in was a disaster. They charge me 5 nights instead of one, and the refund has not been done yet. Rooms are not clean enough. Staff needs more training in general. They forget the orders in the restaurant and they don't manage properly the payment methods during check in and check out.

good location period property , good breakfast , very helpful staff. the property didnot mention that they were not disabled friendly when booking as it is a three storey building without any lift and we were given rooms on the top floor. my 88 year old dad could not get up there. the reception staff did change the rooms to ground floor.

the bathrooms in the rooms that we had were not at all satisfactory. especially the bath tubs were stained and dirty even after cleaning , the curtains were stained and the rooms were very dark.

Fantastic period heritage property. Loved the four poster bed and spacious room. Great opportunity to experience what it might have been like to stay in such a mansion in days gone by.

The location was ok

The penthouse room booked was nothing like the pictures. It was very basic. Furniture and decorations had obviously been removed. Moreover, there was nothing about it that made it luxury in any way.

Convenient location. Lovely restaurant with live music on weekend. Crisp clean linen and towels. Awesome bath products. Lovely a la carte breakfast. Super staff from the cleaning team, porters to front of house and management.

Nothing to mention.

The property looks great in pics but in reality I think it needs a lot of sprucing up. The rooms look old and not well looked after , the WiFi connections were an issue as well. The breakfast had limited options and still many times for a repeat dish they would say it’s now over . This happened on both days so it seems they keep low inventory.

The overall ambience and feel of the property. The suites are well designed and are a good departure from the usual hotels. The outdoor dining area is a major attraction. But more preference to given for guests staying there.

Breakfast not avbl in the venue and were forced to go their other property, Le Promenade which was a bummer. The wooden floors became dirty very quickly and were a nightmare to walk on without slippers. General public (not even dining guests) were loitering just to take photos and feeling of exclusivity vanished quickly. More chairs (normal ones, not the reclining ones) to be made avbl in the room for family discussion time. No elevator was a pain with a kid and luggage in tow. No exclusive parking spots and just halting in front of the property to get down, needed regulation what with all the tourists taking photos and obstructing entrance to guests.

The food was yummy, service was very good, location is superb and the suite was so cute.

General upkeep has to be there as the building is old...for eg the comode seat in the loo was broken, the AC made a LOT of noise.

The bathrooms are dirty. shower area is totally filthy with stains everywhere. no soap dish in the shower area , shower head keeps falling from a hook. room no 2 on ground floor (which was allocated to us was the worst). We had a restaurant table kept just outside the door ! a couple were eating their meal just outside our door! this is a very badly maintained property. I think the management has clearly run out of money . the staff did try to help as much as they could though. thanks to Pradeep.

I was very intrigued by Le Dupleix when I first saw it and definitely wanted to stay here. The property is abundantly green and pretty with the hues Pondicherry has to provide. While the property is old, it would be good to cross check the upkeep of the bathrooms. We did have to switch out of the first room provided and shift to a new one. However, the staff did not hesitate in accommodating this request and were very very polite. They also gave us some nice recommendations for food places around the city. Overall, a very comfortable experience. Would suggest to open Le Dupleix for a breakfast place too as someone recommended their pancakes were to die for but couldn't find it on the menu!

Not really any proper cupboards to hang long clothes or put things away Ac in the room only half worked

The breakfast served was sumptuous, the staff was very courteous and service was prompt. We had lunch and dinner at the property. Mr Bala at the room service was excellent in providing us suggestions on the menu and service was impeccable. The food tasted great and service was always with a big smile and speed. We also enjoyed our dinner at their sister property viz ; The PROMENADE' , on the Beach. Ms Elin at the property attended on us. The Sea food Sizzler platter was fresh and yummy.

We wish that the property has an exclusive parking lot for the guests. But yes, given the old city lay out it is quite a challenge. Nevertheless a wish list.
