When we stayed in previous years.they did evening meals. This year they don't and we found it difficult to find food in the evening .

Bus stop outside, but beware of infrequent service. Incredibly quiet area. Impressive buffet breakfast. Opposite station of the museum steam railway. High quality for what is now more a b&b than hotel. Fridge in room, very useful if bringing food.

To check in you have to telephone host. Beware there is NO food available in the immediate area (other than breakfast). No problem if by car, but those using bus need to plan ahead.

The pension is located at the end of town on the side of the road near wood. The road is one of the main roads to the city but is relatively quiet, especially at night. The train station of the Pressnitztalbahn (museum train) is across the road. Parking is in front of the pension. The room was nice and clean with chairs and a table. Wifi connectivity was excellent from my point of view.

Very spacious room, double bed, wardrobes and cupboards and drawers, two comfy chairs and two person settee, table, glasses,shoehorn. Door in room led into a room with two more beds and the room containing the toilet. Cleaned every day. A good choice of cold cut meats and cheeses for breakfast plus boiled eggs. A choice of breakfast rolls or toast. Staff pleasant and although we struggled with our bit of German and their bit of English we managed to communicate. WE also had our lunch and evening meals there. A few of the menus have an English translation of what the dish is. Wide choice but be warned the majority of dishes in the area are pork based. lovely trout dishes . Really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back in.

On a personnel level as we are both elderly the room was on the second floor.

The staff were very attentive and friendly Food was very good and cooked to order.

I thought the premises was locked up and closed at first appearances. Had to ring door bell to see if anybody was at home.
