Bedrooms all lovely, spacious kitchen which was a nice social set up. Hosts responded really quickly with any queries and gifted us with breakfast items, snacks and Prosecco. Bathroom had a huge stand bath and the shower was a walk in and very powerful.
We all really enjoyed staying here and would highly recommend

Substantial well appointed property in an excellent location. Short walk to local amenities other local areas and attractions easily drivable. Closest beach walkable but probably borderline with a young family. Around 25 mins and straightforward drive into Newcastle. On street parking for one car was never an issue. Great communication with John and Joanne before and during stay. One small issue with the dishwasher was promptly fixed. Welcome hamper a lovely touch. Second stay here and would return again.

internet not working during our stay , host did try and fix but ended up in engineer visiting and we could not get hold of the host so had to wait at the property .
Some mattresses were old and could feel the springs .
very thin curtains in some bedrooms , so very light in the morning ( some people wouldn’t mind this )
oven not functioning properly ( temp not correct , had to put 40 degrees higher than required )
a few things not checked prior to arrival such as dishwasher needing salt and wasn’t cleaning plates properly , dvd cable could not be located , bin bags not there , and internet issue as above . worktops sticky in kitchen .

Outstanding property. Highest levels of furnishings and comfort. Ideal for medium to large groups. Attention to detail by hosts didn't go unnoticed. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful house in a perfect location. 5 minutes to the sea front and the skate park which the kids loved. Lots of nice cafes nearby. Lovely 30 min walk to St Mary's lighthouse. The house had everything we could want for us, my parents and our 2 children (1.5yr and 5yrs). Welcome hamper a great touch.

Good welcome hamper provided, also breakfast items: eggs, two big loaves, butter, jam, cereals, juice and milk. Even a bottle of wine on ice.
Whitley Bay and the wider area was super. A great place to walk, cycle, run on the coastline and in the countryside nearby. Some nice cafes on the main street into town.

We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise and the location was perfect for for a weekend away with friends.
Black out blinds in bedrooms would be ideal.

Wonderful decor, very well looked after home in a quiet area. Host was very communicative and helpful, the guide is an excellent idea, really helpful reference over the weekend. House is very spacious and clean, beds are comfortable and there's a great number of cafes nearby.

It was a lovely comfortable house in a quiet residential street. Parking wasn't possible outside the property on the first night and we had to park 30 metres up the road but we parked outside the house on the second night.
Unfortunately the hot water stopped working after the first morning and so we had to have cold showers. The dish washer also didn't work. There was also a lack of chairs in the sitting room. We could only seat 6 people and there were 8 of us in our party

Lovely house, very clean and welcoming. Hosts were very helpful and left a very generous hamper and breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

The accomodation was very tastefully decorated to a high standard, whilst keeping a homely feel. The welcome hamper was a lovely treat and the breakfast provisions were well received.
Great care had gone into providing for our comfort during our stay. Comfortable beds, clean laundry and very thoughtful toiletries providing for all eventualities.
Not knowing how to work the oven and WiFi. But grateful for a swift response to the later.

I've stayed in a lot of luxury holiday cottages and this was 100% the best ever. It is a lovely house, well presented and clean and tidy. It is well located for the beach and other attractions. There was plenty of supplies: a welcome hamper filled with snacks, breakfast food, juice and bread as well as toilet roll, toiletries and dishwasher tablets.
A+++ would very much recommend staying here.
Could possibly find somewhere better to store the towels/linen etc that are currently in the front room.

Only thing missing was an instruction manual for cooker.
