We had a great time, and were very well looked after. The food was good, and available even though we arrived quite late. I can highly recommend for people looking for practical accommodation in the heart of north wales.

Wonderful place to spend the night. Cosy, comfortable and friendly in a beautiful village. Really welcoming on arrival and check in. We had dinner in the pub by the fire, delicious and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend!

It’s peaceful and the owner is very accommodating.

The location was nice, and it was a good no-frills b&b that was good value for money. The kitchen was well equipped, though we didn't use it ourselves, and the beds were comfortable. Overall, a good stay.

We had some issues with our car, and despite messaging ahead to let them know we'd be late, when we arrived, it felt like I was being told off, and was told I was "very lucky". This made me feel quite awkward and embarrassed in front of a group of men who were drinking at the bar (for reference I am a small female) because I had tried to contact ahead, but the staff member who spoke to me said he hadn't seen it... So perhaps he missed the notification, or the signal was bad? Everything else was fine, though the showers on the top floor were quite loud in our room (but that's understandable with old pipes, so don't let it put you off!)

We loved everything about this place! We had a lovely warm welcome and the stay was fantastic! Could not have picked a better place for our weekend away to conquer snowdon. Staff were so accommodating, helpful and so so friendly! Would highly recommend and would come back again in the future! Thank you!

beautiful place, excellent customer service. The owner Gary was so accommodating, gave us a lift into town to meet friends for dinner as bus stopped running at 7pm.

The property is very clean and comfortable. The room where you sleep in has a sink, there are various shared shower and toilet rooms and a kitchen. Everything is very clean and nicely equipped. The beds are very comfortable and the view is nice as well. You don’t have any cell reception at the property which isn’t a big deal, as you have very good Wifi connection in the whole property. A few miles down the street is a cute town where you can find some lovely restaurants.

Check in time is from 5PM contacted them in advance and they allowed us to check in at 3PM. Our room was clean and we had a kettle to make tea etc. There was also use of a kitchen. Bread, jam, cereal and milk so you can make yourself breakfast. The pub is not open every day so please check and they open some times extra days if sporting event etc on TV.

The staff were very welcoming, the accommodation was nice and in a nice quiet area away from the town. The food was delicious!

Simple , fuss free and friendly. Penmachno is a great location for getting away from the normal tourist route and seeing a more peaceful side of North Wales. The Eagle provides all the facilities at a very fair cost.

Nice cosy room, beautiful and very peaceful location in Snowdonia, good spot for trips around. We definatelly recommend Anglesey.

Very clean and host was friendly

Stayed here before, so knew it was just what we needed. Bunkhouse is basic but clean, and in a lovely little village. Kettle in room (with hot chocolate and biccies!) and there is a kitchen (cereal and bread + jam provided). Best of all, it is over a pub with bar! They also have WiFi (no mobile signal).

Given the price, very little to complain about. We are repeat customers, which says it all!
