Lovely comfortable cottage, warm & cosy with many walks on your doorstep. Nicely furnished. Loved having the log burner in the evenings. Breakfast provisions & treats greatly appreciated!

Comfortable, homely, spacious, great facilities with everything we needed, kind host included provisions on arrival, great heating and shower. Great rural location for walking, and central location for exploring Snowdonia.
Only small things: Thicker blinds in the main bedroom, mending some fixtures in bathroom.

Dolmurgoch is a lovely cosy cottage down a secluded track, surrounded by trees & countryside. The track is single lane with passing points but we never encountered any other cars while we were there, as it is only used by a couple of other cottages and is not a through road. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It is cosy & comfortable with central heating if needed. It has a little stream at the edge of the garden which ran quite heavy when we arrived as it had been raining all day and we could hear it when we were in bed, but it did die down after a couple of days to a gentle trickle. It is lovely hearing the sheep in the next field and they came right up to the gate a couple of times. We were surprised by the lack of birdlife at first but I suppose it was due to heavy rain as we put a couple of feeders out & there were loads coming after a couple of days. We didn't manage the track you can walk to the local village, as after we went through the archway under the train line, there was a massive puddle more like a lake, so be warned if there has been a lot of rain. Be warned about the midges - we did sit out a couple of nights and didn't think they'd be a problem as they are so tiny but we did get bitten. Betws-y-Coed is only about 10 mins drive away. It is a busy village with shops, restaurants & bars and also has a super river running through with crashing rapids under the bridge. Just the other side of Betws-y-Coed there is Swallow Falls which is worth going to see & only costs £2 each. Llandudno is only about 40 mins drive if you want a day at the seaside and the tramway up to The Great Orme is a fun thing to do.
The A470 road was closer than we expected. Although you can't see it because of the trees, there is a bit of road noise sometimes with motorbikes etc whizzing past. The bath isn't the most comfortable to relax in as it seems a funny shape but that's just personal choice I suppose.

nice and private location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was homely, clean, comfortable and such peaceful surroundings - the cottage is reached down a quiet lane with fields surrounding it and a little stream.
The hosts, Bernard and Eira had provided all the essentials you could need; bread, milk, butter, eggs, fruit, tea/coffee etc which we were very thankful for and the cottage was very well equipped. They also contacted me swiftly when I had an enquiry before we arrived.
The location was great as it was central to a lot of North Wales attractions, it only took us a short drive to reach most places and there is so much to see! Betws Y Coed is just down the road and there is a quaint train station close to the cottage.
We hope to return again next time we visit North Wales, thank you!
It was very hot overnight and couldn't open the windows as you'd get bitten by midges, so recommend taking a fan!

If you like being surrounded by nature this is a wonderful place to spend some time. The cottage is in a beautiful location off the beaten track but close to some really lovely villages. The perfect place to unwind and recharge . Lots to do nearby , pony treking , zip lining , slate mine tours , train to the seaside to mention just a few. The cottage has everything you need for a lovely holiday .

Super peaceful location, where we woke to the tuneful strains of willow warblers, blackbirds and more.
A very well-equipped and spacious cottage for the two of us.
Not far to many top hiking trails and we hiked some directly from the house.
We recommend the excellent nearby restaurant Ty Gwyn, on the way to Betws-y-Coed.

The property is in an exquisite location with great access to walks, the river, a train station and villages. It had everything we needed, as well as a generous welcome gift of wine, chocolates, firewood and some groceries. It was comfortable and cozy. Highly recommended.
There was nothing not to like.

The commitment of hosts Bernard and Eira to ensuring that guests enjoy themselves completely is evident right from the booking stage.
The large chains could learn a lot here, it's about the guest experience, not just the accommodation.
The cottage is well appointed and offers a haven of tranquility after a busy day exploring.
The location is ideal, allowing easy access to a range of attractions.
There is nothing to dislike here...

Great to have the heating on to warm an welcome us on arrival. The tea, coffee, biscuits, wine, milk, butter and eggs were a great touch and handy to have ready for us. The fuel for the fire meant we were extra cosy in the evenings. The close proximity to the railway meant we were able to enjoy using the train for trips out and also provided a great amusement to our three son who enjoyed timing them and watching them go past. The owners were very helpful in suggesting nice walks and things to do on our trip. Loved hearing the hoots of the barn owl in the woods and seeing squirrels in the garden.

What's not to like. Its a beautiful cottage. Close enough to places of interest but still tucked away to have a secluded holiday. The cottage is well equipped with everything you would need. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing location. The hosts provided many essentials to help make our stay better, tea, coffee, milk, eggs, bread, fruit and even some wine! First time staying in a rented cottage and would definitely come back here again.

Felt like home as soon as walked in.

Secluded location in Snowdonia national park. Walks from the doorstep. Comfortable cottage with food facilities.
A bit of background noise from the road on the other side of the valley.

It was warm and completely private, exactly what we wanted for our first visit to Snowdonia (and Wales for that matter).
We are from Scotland and it reminded us of the quietness of the Highlands. Beautiful place and lovely thoughtful owners.
Also, parking was excellent, large space within the property which felt great after the suspenseful drive up the narrow road.
Nothing we didn't like about the property it was great.
The little road to the cottage is tight but it is not an issue if you drive slowly and carefully.

The house was clean, warm and comfortable. The owners are lovely and are easy to contact if needed, and the welcome pack of breqd, eggs, milk and wine was a wonderful greeting. The house had excellent facilities, and nature even gave us a beautiful set of waterfalls out front, which you can also view from the front bedroom. Overall and amazing stay, regardless of weather. We are already planning our return in the summer months.

Really lovely thoughtful hosts, provided eggs, milk, bread, butter, tea and coffee. Everything to enjoy the wood burner, also particularly thoughtful was an anniversary card and a bottle of wine.
One of the mattresses was uncomfortable and caused poor sleep for my husband as we cannot share due to my ill health and snoring it meant separate beds/bedrooms for us. My mattress was very comfortable.
Everything else was fabulous and we really enjoyed our stay 😃

The cottage was a real home from home with all amenities in a secluded location. There was a microwave, capsule coffee maker, fridge freezer, oven and hob, washing machine and dishwasher and a brick built bbq in the garden. DVD player with DVDs provided and good internet connection. Seating and bedding were all very comfortable, tastefully decorated and everywhere was spotless. Modern bathroom with good pressure to the shower. Full central heating and also a log burner and the benefit of a boot room for taking off wet/dirty footwear and pegs on the back of the door for coats.
We had good weather so were able to make good use of the outside seating before and after each day's activity.
It was evident a lot of thought had been given to ensure everything you could need was provided
Location excellent for exploring North Wales.
Communication with the owners was good.
Thoroughly recommend this place.
Can't think of anything we didn't like.

The well equipped and comfortable cottage was in a beautiful location. There were good walks available from the door and it was ideally situated to explore the surrounding areas. Snowdonia, Anglesey, Llangollen, Llandudno and Portmeirion all within easy reach. Lots of restaurants in nearby Betws-Y-Coed.

A superb cottage, well appointed, centrally located and with stunning walks on every side. Lovely to have tea, coffee, milk and bread ready and waiting for us - thank you.
A little close to a busy road - noisy at times (but can't be helped)... a few house fans would have helped during the heat wave.

A well maintained cosy cottage in a great secluded location within a good distance of many places of interest. Nice outside decking area. Well equipped with essentials and generous welcome pack. Responsive hosts.
An outdoor washing line would have been useful (plenty of space for it). A blackout blind in the second bedroom would be appreciated (as there is one in the other bedroom).

Everything was excellent.
No complaints at all.
