Room was stunning with fabulous view on the ocean and incredible terrace. Very large swimming pool. Very kind and friendly staff, you can tell there is a very good relationship in between them maling the atmosphere very relaxed and pleasant. Excellent food.

This Is a very modern and well equiped hotel with a lovely garden and swimming pool. The room is large and a has a good bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the room had an exit direct to the pool. Its very quiet and peaceful as it is quite far from Negombo center (when we arrived).

After seeing the photos on booking we thought it was quite a luxury hotel (for our last night). In the high season this hotel is probably quite good but I think we arrived at the wrong moment. The staff was sometimes hard to find (he was very nice and helpful). Somethings in the room were not very clean (fridge/remote control for the Climatisation). It would have been lovely to have some parasols near the pool as the sun beat down quite hard. The beach was dirty and was too dangerous to swim. The breakfast was not at all to the standards that we had during the rest of our stay in Sri Lanka. The butter (margerine) was in a plastic packet, the jam was already open and someone had served themselves already. We were quite dissapointed. Last point, it would have nice to be informed before our arrival that there was a party during the next day for a local group of people with music, lunch, a cricket game and lots of people in the gardens/swimming pool of the hotel.

The accommodation has a beautiful view and the room we stayed in was very spacious. The shower was great. It is close to the airport, too.

When we arrived there was no one around. Eventually we found someone who showed us our room. I think we were the only guests. The manager we met later was nice, though. The location is not very lively, you have to take a tuktuk to find restaurants etc.

A bit of a mixed review. When we arrived in the afternoon, there was a big (+100 people) private party going on at the property of which we were not informed, so we felt a bit like intruders. That meant we couldn't really use the garden or pool for the entire afternoon and a big part of the evening. I told the manager that we did not appreciate this and that they should choose between hosting parties or having guests, but not both at the same time. He was very understanding, apologized to us and we got some free food and drinks the day after, but I did feel I had to mention it in our review because it did affect almost 50% of our stay. That being said, this really is a wonderful place to relax at the start or end of your trip to Sri Lanka! The gardens and pool are very well taken care of and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room had a very nice view of the pool and ocean and the AC worked well to keep the heat out. Jacuzzi, shower and bathroom were all perfect. Breakfast and dinner were nice and we could ask the chef whatever we'd like to eat. Also VERY nice sunsets in the evening!

The wifi signal only works in a very specific spot (the middle of the staircase...). Annoying if you have to make travel/airport arrangements. TV didn't work. The fridge in the room smelt like something had died inside. The stretch of beach that runs along this side of Negombo is very filthy and littered with plastic and trash, although that's not the hotel's fault of course, but keep in mind that this is not a beach you'd want to spent an entire afternoon on. Overall our feeling is that this place is a bit overpriced and we expected more of it.

Everything! beautiful property with incredible view! such a joy to wake to the sea and palm trees and complete peace and quiet. the bed was super comfortable, perfect firmness and comfort:

The room was amazing. Huge! The staff were good, but we didn't really understand each other which made it difficult. Beachfront property. Clean pool, but nearly got hit on the head by a falling coconut.

We were watched while we ate which we know is because they wanted to be helpful, but it wasn't really relaxing.

The staff went out of there way to accommodate us. We had the best breakfast of our 1 month stay in Sri Lanka. The views from our room we’re amazing and the bonus of a private jacuzzi in our room was such a luxury! We will back!

Beautiful interior and pool

The place is absolutely stunning and quite unusual for Sri Lanka. It is an astounding combination of Sri Lankan and European styles. Furniture, appliances, swimming pool and decorations are brand new. To relax and enjoy Ceylon, no need to drive hours and hours on challenging and narrow roads. The Light House Negombo sits just 15-minute drive distance from the airport. The food prepared by Nilantha was delicious. We've got the best rice and curry ever. Rich taste but not crazy spicy. Unforgettable! Next time we'll ask for the cooking class.

The property is very nice. Small and away from the tourist area. The pool is nice, the gym is nice, room was spacious and the beach is for locals and no tourists.

When I arrived there was no staff so I ended up being alone (no other guests either) for the first 36 hours. I didn’t know where to get food so I ended up eating only bananas for the entire 36 hours. When I went to pay, despite their payment info saying they accept card, they didn’t. I got a taxi to the atm followed by the guy who was in charge. He then wouldn’t give me a receipt.
