The location was perfect for what we wanted.

Loved the location! Walked to the Heidout for dinner, it was an excellent meal. Was able to hike on trails bordering a national park. The room was clean and loved the decor, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

No elevator and our room was two flights up. Not a problem for us but wanted to list this as a negative for anyone with mobility problems.

Nice location. Likes the sushi place next door and the book cafe across the street. Free parking. Comfortable beds.

Laundry room was only available between 2pm and 9pm. Sink water tasted earthy.

Great location for walking about town

Stairs to the 3rd floor were a lot with a suitcase! Having someone carry my suitcase would have been appreciated. The male at desk said if you have trouble I'll come help. I'm a female in my 50s. The offer should just be "let me get that to your room for you".

Very clean room with laundry facilities on site and friendly staff.

No lift, but we were only up one flight of stairs so it wasn’t the worst.

Doug who checked us in and out was so helpful, informative and friendly. Our room was upgraded which was really kind and the hotel organised a last minute taxi for us from the airport which was there immediately on arrival - gratefully received having travelled for 12 hours. Overall the hotel and staff were great. Thank you!

Loved the historical decor.

The beds were terrific and the staff were all so friendly. Rooms were very clean and totally comfortable.

One of the rooms had a bit of a chemical/paint smell which needed the window to be open. Maybe it was freshly painted but it was noticeable.

Staff were excellent, room was clean and quiet, bed was comfortable.

The shower. Had to turn on cold tap to get hot water running but once we had hot water, both taps seemed to run hot. We couldn't control the temperature. Other than that one issue, the place was great.

Road noise was a little loud

the hotel is in the process of rejuvenation and recreating the art deco era in which it was built. Very cool place and looking good. We were on the third floor which is still having some work (ie windows) but it was quite pleasant.

There was a lot of light that came in through the window curtains and from under the door. Perhaps a bit better light blocking would be good.
