What an absolute gem! I cannot praise Granny Dens and host Caroline enough. Everything about this place was fabulous. The gorgeous cottage is spacious, cosy and comfortable and the turf fire an added bonus. The kitchen is so well equipped, the beds are comfortable and the hot water in the shower is hot. We were made to feel very welcome and the loaf of homemade soda bread was so thoughtful. We also loved the location, close to Ardara and lovely Portnoo. It was so, so hard to leave. Granny Dens has been a highlight for us on what has been an extensive road trip.

My dad and uncle stayed here for a cycling holiday and they had a fantastic time. Caroline was an exceptional host, she made sure they had everything they needed and were happy with everything. Beds were very comfortable also. Thanks again Caroline, my dad and uncle are already planning their next stay with you.

On our arrival we were met by Caroline who is just lovely. The cottage is set in a beautiful location it is very clean and extremely well maintained plus beautifully complimented with additional touches such as, the cottage was warm for our arrival, homemade scone bread and jam for a cup of tea and the log fire set. The cottage is well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend booking Granny’s Den. Thankyou so much Caroline for making our visit such a memorable and pleasurable experience . It truly is a gem of a cottage which has found a special place in our hearts to which we hope to return to in the future.

Caroline was more than obliging and when I text her to say I was running late she arranged a place for me to get the key had she not been available to meet me straight away. She was very kind and I running late didn't cause any problems at all.

Lovely house in a great location. We were welcomed by Caroline upon arrival and had plenty of privacy for the duration of our stay. The house had everything we could have wished for, would definitely recommend.

Wifi wasn't always great, but we weren't there to just watch netflix. The house and surroundings more than made up for it.

A fantastic place to stay , spotlessly clean , everything you could want and the bed was so comfortable I slept and woke up feeling pain free , so peaceful and comfortable caroline was the perfect hostess , wine and fresh bread awaited our arrival . We had a fabulous weekend the weather was fab we even had a barbecue 😀 highly Recommend Grannys Den you won't be disappointed I hope to return again .

It was really cosy and homely. It exceeded our expectations. Caroline had lit the fire for us so the place was warm in our arrival.

Brilliant cottage, could've stayed all winter

location good! close to amenities, beaches, shops, church, all within easy reach.

Only one minor detail, some tv channels not available! apart from this excellent!

Everything great, a little gem. Very comfy & homely cottage with everything you'd need. A nice turf stove too. Caroline was a great host, always available but left us to our stay too eventhough next door. A great spot to travel around Donegal from.

The hostess was very nice. The house was cosy clean and comfortable.

Location was far too remote for us personally. We didn't get any home made bread and jam which was advertised.

It was quaint, lovely surroundings, Caroline was a wonderful host, lots to do.. could have stayed longer!

The house was really comfortable and in a great location for exploring Donegal. The beaches and scenery close by were gorgeous. The people in the area were very friendly and there was a really relaxed atmosphere.

There was a difficulty using the TV and the Wifi was very poor.

The cottage is lovely and cosy with comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen with all your utensils, so you don't need to bring any with you.

Everything about the cottage was amazing. Spotlessly clean and great location for touring the area. Caroline and her family are extremely nice and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Will definitely be returning. 10/10 all round.
