the property was in a perfect position dfor visiting the castle town centre but also situated near open fields the river and a park for the kids!

Great location overlooking the park, a short walk to the main street where you can find all you need for enjoying Barnard Castle. Lovely property to stay in, warm and welcoming.

It had everything we needed, was so comfortable and the finishing touches were amazing from the huge comfy sofa to the beautiful cushions and artwork. Everything was such a high standard and the location was fantastic too.

Great location, lovely facilities including sun trap backyard with chairs and table. Good quality furnishings and nice bit of luxury. Easy walk into town and nice outlook to the park.

Everything was perfect. Even the one problem we had was resolved so quickly that it was not a problem.

It’s a lovely cottage with good facilities, 2 really nice bedrooms and a very good sized living room.

Everything about the stay ! The views were amazing, the location brilliant, the property was perfect, and right next to our favourite pub The Blue Bell .

Floorboards top of landing and 2nd bedroom made a lot of noise. Not able to be quiet through night/ early mornings.

Beautiful property with a front view across a park, & a lovely comfortable settee in the living room at the back. Another review mentioned neighbours but they are incredibly quiet which made the whole stay very tranquil. Perfectly positioned for exploring the town, including Bowes Museum and the castle, we were here to see a comedian at The Witham in the town centre. Very comfortable beds.

The only bit that avoided it being rated a 10/10 was the loud bathroom fan and squeaky floorboards upstairs. Very minor in the scale of things

the property was pristine absolute gorgeous holiday home close to Bowes museum and barnard castle would definitely go again thank you very much for the stay would definitely recommend anyone to go here
