Grandfather Mountain est un endroit bien connu le long de la promenade. Vous pouvez aller à Blowing Rock, une petite ville balnéaire avec de jolis magasins et restaurants à environ 40 km. This is by far the most Zen property we have EVER stayed at. Everything you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. If you are looking for some time away with a loved one, or even on your own, this is the place for you. This place is secluded, private, and the owner's have clearly thought through the details. Very rarely do we visit a place more than once. We love seeing new things, but my wife and I both agree, this is going to become a go to for us when we need a weekend of solitude.

If you are second guessing staying here, book it now. You will not be disappointed. This cabin is everything in the pictures and more. What a fantastic way to unwind from everyday life! The kitchen is clean and has the essentials. This place is laid out so well it feels like your own home after 5 min inside.

A little piece of heaven. I can’t say enough how beautiful and peaceful this place is. If you like to be around nature but still with comfort this is the place. The cabin is very Unique. Great for pictures too. You can hear the sound of the rushing creek from every room in the cabin. This was our second time here. Already planning to come back again.

This was our second stay, and it was just as wonderful... A quiet, private mountain/creekside getaway for 2. The cabin is comfortable and luxurious, the kitchen is stocked with utensils & supplies, and the grounds are fun to explore.
A couple tips for visitors: 1) We didn't use the hot tub this time, as I think it was in economy mode and we didn't realize that until it was too late... So check that first and give it time to warm up! 2) There is a Keurig, so bring your K-cups. 3) Enjoy the time away from your cell service and relax :)

A beautiful cabin, on a beautiful property, with clean, comfortable, and convenient fixtures and amenities. We stayed for our honeymoon last year, and love it so much we came back for our first wedding anniversary. Everything was just as amazing as we’d remembered!

Had a wonderful time staying at the cabin!! Me and my wife got engaged there back in January 2021. We got married a year ago, and we were excited to return to the cabin for our one year anniversary! It was just as amazing this time as the last. So glad that we got to enjoy this beautiful place again :)

This property is secluded, and sits in a breathtaking natural spot. The notched log main areas and bedroom quarters are very well built, with impressive rock masonry throughout. I appreciated the architecture and antiques, and my wife was a big fan of the huge, super-comfy bed, and the wonderfully unique master bath/en suite. In this case, you truly do get what you pay for. The owners are great, and are concerned that you have a wonderful stay. Thanks Vickie and AJ for being willing to share this wonderful property.

The cabin and property exceeded our expectations! The master bedroom and bath were spectacular. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub at night and loved how the property lit up, it was magic! The back porch was perfect for morning coffee and playing games and reading in the afternoons. We haven’t been so relaxed in years! We are already dreaming of coming back!

My husband and I love the property and cabin. We have stayed before at this cabin and now under the new ownership love the new little updates that have been made. This is a beautiful private location. We had a wonderful time just celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary, love to come any chance to get away and recharge in the beautiful quiet surroundings!

Wonderful private getaway, and perfect place to unplug, restore and refresh. We loved the privacy, the hiking trails, and spending the evenings along side the creek.

Even better than we imagined, and we already want to go back! A beautiful, private, well-appointed, luxurious getaway tucked into the mountains.
Access is through a quiet, gated community (with hilly but paved roads), but the home is on a private street and private land, with your own private creek view and mountain hiking trail... We didn't see a single person the whole time!
The location is definitely remote, with no cell service but good wifi, so plan and pack accordingly. It's not a close or easy drive to anything. But, the house is well-stocked, and the owners provide an excellent welcome email with all the details you'll need... There was a technical issue where we didn't receive the email in advance, but they corrected it right away.
The master bathroom is definitely the highlight, with the creekside hot tub with "magic lights" not far behind. Everything worked as expected, and I can't think of anything I'd really change, except maybe for less rain during our stay :) Shh, don't tell your friends, you'll want to keep this secret getaway all to yourself!

Amazing in every relaxing sense
PERFECT for couples wanting secluded alone time. Perfect to connect with the one you love and let all of your stress go. We were able to completely relax and enjoy each other. AJ and Vickie have literally thought of everything for this cabin to enhance your connecting experience with your love. If I could give it 11 stars out of 5 I would! Absolutely perfect… we even started the trip with a little adventure. A tree was down over the road leading down to the cabin… we made the best of it, parked the car and walked our groceries and luggage down the hill and came back up (great workout! Lol) This is where caring and customer service came into play. On a holiday weekend, they had their son who lives nearby come by like 30 min after we told them about the tree… he came out and removed it!! It set our minds at ease and we were able to begin relaxing. I feel like that was a bonus and going out of their way to remove that tree so quickly. Thank you so much for everything!!! AMAZING RELAXING STAY!

Simply Perfect
We went for our honeymoon. It was the perfect environment for us. After being around many people at our wedding, it was nice to not see anyone for SIX WHOLE DAYS! The owners keep the cabin clean and running smooth. There are little “old” gadgets around the cabin as decor. We are two teachers, so we were big fans of these. During night, with the creek lights on, it was incredible to relax and refresh before we start on our new journey as spouses.

Great anniversary get-away!
This house structure is so unique, the decorating style is perfect for it, and the physical location is beautiful. The decorating style is “Cracker Barrel” and we really enjoyed looking at all of the “old” items in the house. Do not miss the 1927 Sears Catalog! Take some time to thumb through it and look at the options and the prices! We enjoyed sitting on the porches and listening to the creek. Be sure to turn on the creek lights at night! Also, don’t miss the purple soffit lights in the bedroom!!! If you are up for it, follow the trail past the gazebo and hike up the trail (hiking boots recommended). The hot tub is wonderful! As others have said, bring all of your food with you because it’s a long way to go out and come back. It’s very quiet and peaceful, but we did have 1 surprise (local) visitor who was looking for the owners. Vickie rapidly replied to every message we sent and was so helpful with the whole process of making our first vrbo rental a positive experience.

Great Cabin for Two
We had a great time staying at this cabin by the creek. The owners really paid attention to detail throughout the inside and outside of the property. Very relaxing, very chill, and private. We had zero safety concerns being in the woods considering it was within a resort community. Would definitely stay again.

Peaceful Seclusion
My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend, the cabin was great, the setting was beautiful, you can hear and watch the creek babbling by throughout the day, the lighting at night was quite cool. Not too far from Blowing Rock (probably about 45 minutes), if you do want to get out but I could easily have stayed there for the whole weekend without leaving. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a true peaceful retreat, this is it! From the calming creek, hammock trail, secret picnic gazebo to the hottub, one of a kind stone shower, and just all around beauty.....we did not want to leave. No detail was left unturned. Creekside cottage
This was the most beautiful cottage Ive ever stayed in ! It was truly magical and every detail was perfect! The cottage was in perfect harmony with the nature surrounding it. Wonderfully peaceful mountain retreat with romantic surroundings.
Everything was very nice - you can tell they built this home with every attention to detail. Vicki answered our questions promptly. The hot tub and jacuzzi are very clean, as is the rest of the property. Bring all of your food and you are set. The property provides modern conveniences to the absolutely romantic setting - the stream and lighting are gorgeous. Mesmerizing place - twenty acres of pristine nature - don’t forget to take a lovely walk to the new gazebo with swing. Beautiful weekend!

Nice Getaway
Very nice property with all the amenities you will need for your stay. The cabin is much larger than it appears in the photos. The creek out back was our favorite part, very soothing sounds. We were there in the winter and it snowed the prior weekend, the valley was beautiful all covered in snow. We will definitely return.

The Creekside Cabin is hands-down our favorite mountain rental to date. The home itself is such a fantastic design and layout with all the amenities anyone could need. We debated many different options and couldn’t be happier we chose this rental - we will for sure be making a trip back!
