The open space concept is not working in a hostel! You can't sleep there!

Where to start? What happened with all toilet seats?????? But I booked a 6 bed dorm so I expect to be in a room with 5 other people. Well there are no rooms at all. It’s one big dorm without doors and windows and the common area is in the room???? This means you are with tons of people in one room, you can’t change so no privacy at all, while I booked a 6 bed dorm, you can hear the traffic and people talking/singing from outside but also everyone from the hostel is walk by your bed! This makes it impossible to sleep. Another thing, the lights were on all night. So it’s light all night. Horrible. Another thing, normal pad locks don’t fit on the lockers. Which is not fun because everyone from the streets can walk into the ‘room’. Also, there was a really weird brown substance on the shower head. I left this hostel after 1 night and will not recommend this to others.

A lot of toilets and showers. Common area was very nice, has a cute bar and good location. Hip hop party every Friday.

WiFi hardly ever works, water gets cut off too often and it’s not island problems as they say. When they say it’s 6 bed dorm expect to see a floor with more than 20 beds because there are no doors and it’s basically 20-30 bed dorm, even common area is not separated with a door that’s why it’s very difficult to fall asleep because people in common area might have their own little party, sometimes it goes till 5am and staff won’t help you with that. No glass on a window frame to block outside noises, so expect to be awake from the first roosters crow and people outside. When we checked in staff owned us a change and when we checked out and asked for a change they all of a sudden charged us for something what never existed the day we were checking in. It was only 150 pesos but still was very unprofessional. Food in the restaurant is too expensive for the hostel. Hip hop party every Friday until 12am and it feels like party is in your room.
