Nicely furnished and quiet

The lack of wifi was not acceptable. In addition the mobile coverage is poor so couldn’t even rely on that. I was at the property for a long stay and was hoping to get my work done - the lack of wifi made that virtually impossible. Very frustrating

Quiet and spacious. Very comfortable bed. Beautiful rear garden. Well appointed.

There was an electrically operated gate to the property. To open the gate I had to get out of the car, grope around a stone pillar and find a push button. Not ideal in the rain! Furthermore, this was NOT explained in the scanty information provided before arrival. Anyone arriving in the dark would have found it very difficult to access the property except by pushing through the knee-hight hedge and leaving their car parked in the street. Very unsatisfactory especially at the high rate - almost $800/night - charged. There were signs of neglect inside - a cracked mirror and picture, marks on the carpets etc.

Location very good, close to town. Very nice grounds. Good bathroom. The Booking.com process was very quick and easy, as usual. But see below.

The other entity’s involvement in the booking process (Holiday Rental Specialists) was a disgrace. I found out much later that this company was the agent for the owner. Such was the deluge of emails and sms’s from them that I thought it was a scam. The booking.com email stated that the accommodation was “confirmed”. Then I received constant messages, emails etc from Holiday Rental Specialists stating that I was “not registered”, and that I could NOT utilise the accommodation, until I sent them a copy of my drivers license or passport, and other personal details. Needless to say, I would not under any circumstances send such confidential documents to a company which I was in fact not dealing with, and which I suspected was a hoax/scam. Clearly I was extremely disappointed with this time-wasting and contradictory process. A terrible way to start what should be a pleasant experience. Never again.

Very spacious, well appointed and private. Loved all the comforts.

Despite instructions oven wouldn’t work. Probably some small glitch.

The property is absolutely stunning and extremely comfortable in every way, right down to the comfy Bec and floor heating!
