Cosy pub, good set out

Door ways were a little too small for me being 6 ft 5.

Location like a film set, down country lanes that were only missing sprinkle of snow to look like a Christmas card. Pub was old, open fire, great drinks and room was so comfortable and quiet. Food was very good and prices what you would expect. Dogs are welcome and locals were very friendly.

Nothing, loved it but some people might find stairs narrow if lacking mobility

Excellent stay, gorgeous quaint village, wonderful Christmassy feel, gorgeously decorated with foliage for the Christmas holidays. A great cosy pub with open fires. Our second stay with the dogs in Ramsden, the attic is a great sized room lovely hot bath comfy bed and lovely and warm. Cosy feel with our own little Christmas tree in the room also. Large room great bathroom The food is amazing! Had breakfast and an evening meal both excellent with great choice! Recommend the chicken sharer from the roast menu!

Lovely location and really nice pub with helpful and friendly staff. Great family room with double bedroom and separate but adjoined room with bunk beds for kids.

Breakfast was of high quality with plenty offered cooked fresh.

Only issue being we stayed in the stable which was just opposite the kitchen door which was a little bit noisy but stopped about 10pm and the garden was just outside which may be a little noisy in summer months.

A wonderful character filled pub. Brilliant shower, very comfortable bed and fantastic food and drink.

Our friend was staying in a small double which was extremely small Unfortunately no one available to help with heavy bags

Very nice dinning area, food good. Bedroom very good, though banged our heads on beam in the centre of room. Would stay again in a lower level room preferably.

Staircase to bedroom very steep, top floor room. Beam in bedroom, (as mentioned) though old building to be expected.

Fantastic location, property and restaurant

The food, breakfast and dinner, was excellent and it is obvious why the Royal Oak has such a high reputation for its catering.

One day, our room was not serviced. The staff were most apologetic.

Absolutely friendly, supportive and professional service

As a woman Travelling on my own, you always are a bit skeptical about staying in places that maybe off the beaten track. but felt very welcomed and safe, and really could not fault anything about the place.

it was a busy night in the pub as they had a theme night so i couldn't park in the car park. but there was parking on the street so that was a positive. the stairs to my room were steep which were fine for myself, but if you were unsteady on your feet you would not want the attic room. if you are fine-its a lovely room :)

It was set in a beautiful village, the room was gorgeous, and the food was lovely.

Our room was directly above the main bar which meant it was a little loud towards the end of the evening.

Location was in a beautiful part of the cotsworlds. Surrounded by pretty buildings and beautiful walks. Staff were so friendly. Dinner was amazing and breakfast was very nice

This was the most beautiful pub, the rooms were great, the pub was gorgeous and the food was delicious. Can't rate this place highly enough.
