Lovely property, everything that was needed for a break away. Cosy home. Wonderful welcome pack. Much appreciated after a long rainy drive down. Hot tub was great. Near to lots of wonderful places, Brownsea island, studland, corfe and too far to return to early if the weather changed!

Had a lovely week at the Barn, everything you needed was to hand. Ali and Carl have made sure that you’ll be very comfortable. Lots of lovely touches, fresh flowers, chocolate and Prosecco were a lovely surprise. Hot tub was lovely after a full day out exploring, and there are many beautiful places and beaches to visit.
If visiting Poole again would not hesitate to stay here again.

Well on eventuality getting there I was was disappointed.
Not told about on going road closures and one way systems which had clearly been in place for some time.
I found the street but not the building so ran on the door stated. No reply at 26.
So we went looking and found it down a VERY NARROW alley.
Garden with hot tub totally over looked. Decking very sad. Plants dead, paint work needed a great deal of TLC.
Loads of weeds around. Very sad sight. Accommodation inside was very well equipped. Nice hectares left for myself and grandchildren. Thank you.
When went to clean on leaving it was clear that the furniture hadn’t been moved and cleaned underneath!! Deposit of food found and not ours. I have taken photos.
Location for beach was good. It’s a shame that the property wasn’t well managed. A little TCL outside would have made a great deal of difference. Pictures on webb page didn’t reflect the picture we found on arrival. ☹️

We both loved The Barn. Loved the welcome pack and the Prosecco. ( but perhaps a pint of milk for a cup of tea on arrival would have been just as good??)
Had to go around the block a few times to try to locate the entrance to The Barn on arrival, but did notice a new Name plate had been attached to the gates during our stay ,so maybe now will be easier to find for others in the future..perhaps a few pics of how to access The Barn may be worth doing??
The Hot Tub, was certainly a very nice little extra..and got used on every night of our stay!!..The rectangle solar floor lights were a very good idea as was the rechargeable lamp. ( But perhaps some of the non-working other solar lights need to be replaced.. to get the tranquil ambiance of the hot tub back?)
The Barn , itself, is very spacious, modern and clean with just about everything you would want for your stay.
We didn't have any issues on our stay so didn't need to contact the hosts for anything..
So, all in all, top marks to our hosts who gave us a very enjoyable stay in Poole.
..Just a quick note though .. I did loose a few brain cells buy hitting my head on the roof several times when getting into bed !! Despite the 'mind your head notices' lol..

The Barn is a lovely little place with the best equipped kitchen we’ve ever come across! It’s clean, lovely decor and the hot tub was perfect, especially in the dark when it was peaceful outside. Good location too, unfortunately due to the weather we didn’t get the opportunity to go to the beach hut. Carl and Ali are great hosts with excellent communication before and during our stay. Could not have asked for more from a place to stay.

We’re had a good time in this small but plenty of room cottage . Well equipped and ready to go. Very central for all the places we needed to be. We enjoyed our stay very much. If you need it there is a hot tub and use of beach hut. A lovely place to stay

The place is well set out and very clean. We made plenty of use of the hot tub and also visited the beach hut for a day which is situated on a lovely soft white sandy beach and has all the items you need for a day at the beach.
Carl was quick to deal with any issues we had.
Would definitely recommend.

Short break
We came away for a much needed rest ,the property was as described had everything we needed and lots of little extra touches ,the welcome pack and flowers were lovely and the hot tub a much relaxing bonus 🙂 ,lots to do ,a lovely park just a few minutes walk away ,the quay where we dreamt about owning one of the beautiful boats 🤣, the beach at sandbanks is beautiful and clean. Had a drive around Lilliput to see the beautiful houses ,how the other half live 🤣,took the bus to Poole found a lovely cafe great people had a laugh , a couple of snags at the Barn but Carl was very quick to sort things out for us ,all in all a nice relaxing time ,Carl and Ali are lovely hosts and we would definitely come back again ,Thankyou to you both 🙂🙂

Our Stay at Oakdale
Hot tub added bonus, bed comfortable, very tidy and clean and well stocked also a lovely added touch of a welcome pack and flowers. Secure car parking and an excellent idea of a key code . Location close to convenience stores, fish and chip shop and an Indian. About 20 mins flat walk to Poole town and 30 mins to the Quay

Beautiful barn
We had a wonderful stay at the Barn, it is fully equipped with many extras, a wonderful clean hot tub in a private pretty garden, the hosts Ali and Carl were fantastic hosts, and dealt with issues quickly , thank you for our flowers, Prosecco and chocs etc.. a really lovely thought..the barn is situated within a ten minute walk to Poole and close to pubs restaurants and has a little corner shop a minute walk away, ideally situated for trips to Bournemouth, swanage etc.. would highly recommend this lovely property and hope to stay there again soon

A lovely place
The property was absolutely lovely, super clean and we loved the welcome basket! Ali and Carl were great hosts with communication and instructions on how to use the hot tub. Great location for walking into Poole or a short drive to Bournemouth. We had a really well needed relaxing stay and we would love to stay here again in the future.

Stay in Poole
Well appointed with everything you could need . However , the shower over the bath was a bit issue - due to slopping roof, you could not stand up in it , could only squat or lie down . No shower as such , just hose with head attached to taps.A walk in shower is really a must these days. The parking was very tight but got used to it after a few goes. The hot tub was a nice feature but decking needs a new lick of paint . The cushions on the outdoor furniture were stained and smelly . There was a damp smell inside the accommodation which at times was unpleasant. Close to town and bus service with plenty of food outlets to choose from.

Short break in Dorset
We stayed at the The Barn for three nights (15-18 Oct 2020). The Barn itself is a self contained house with everything that you would possibly need for the duration of your stay. It’s the perfect home from home! It was clean, tidy and really modern and most of all, very cosy! The hot tub on the patio was a really good addition and we loved using it in the evenings after having been out most of the day sightseeing! The location of The Barn is excellent with many sights like lulworth, Durdle door, Corfe castle reached within 35 minutes. There are shops near by and takeaways etc if you need anything for the duration of your stay too.
Thank you to hosts Carl and Ali, who were at hand if we needed anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to book again in the near future!

Beautiful Dorset
We were so lucky to find this little gem in Poole during a difficult time when the country had just been through a long Lockdown. It is situated in central Poole though you would never know that as it was so peaceful and private. The owners,Carl and Ali, were so helpful, meeting us and responding so quickly to small requests of a fan when we experienced a warm Indian Summer in September and then, help with the central heating when the weather turned in the last few days of our three week stay. The Barn was spotless and we really appreciated the welcome baskets in the bathroom and the one in the living area.....they had thought of everything from hand sanitisers to face masks. The absolute bonus was the use of their beautiful beach hut for a small fee on a part of the coast we would never have found without local knowledge. This part of Dorset was fantastic to see the many places; coves, Jurassic coast, rolling hills, castles and picture perfect villages. We had a wonderful time here and would not hesitate to go back.

Wonderful Hosts!
I want to thank the owners of this property for their care and efficiency in managing this stay. This is the COVID period and their attention to safety and detail was perfect. They are very attentive to the needs of their guests and really make you welcome. Poole is a beautiful location (my hometown!) and this is a great location to enjoy its beauty and facilities. I can thoroughly recommend this for your next trip.
