The only thing we did like was the awesome view of the water and many boats and lobster fisherman.

The first bad issue we had upon entering the home was the very strong musty smell, mostly from the downstairs is which is where the tv and sofa where located, which were a big problem for seating, nothing was comfortable, not relaxing at all. The photos provided on the booking site appears to have been from a long time ago, the porch and decks were very worn out and old wood. Now onto the most disappointing part of our vacation to Maine, we arrived back to the home after visiting Boothbay, my husband parked the car, and I went down the driveway to the front porch. The porch was old, damp and wet from the moisture. My foot caught something on the bottom step when going up to the top porch board I ended up taking a really bad fall. Due to fact that I lost a lot of blood, and my leg had a laceration about 5" long, we had to head to the nearest hospital which ended up being about 45 minutes away, which ended up being a very long ride in the dark. After a five-hour ordeal in the hospital we went back home in extreme pain and with thirteen stitches. A get way to ruin a wonderful vacation. To top it all off, I called the number provided in the event of emergencies, gave the lady all the information and everything that occurred. She called me back on the way home the next day, again made a report of what had happened and said I would be hearing from someone in the next few days, that was Sunday October 6th. I Still haven't heard anything from anyone since that day. Today the stitches were removed and all I that I have our from stay at Sea Breeze Cottage is a memory of falling on the porch, very painful nonvaccine shots into the wound (6) to be exact and a 5" long wound and what will be an ugly scar. By the way the door key code which only worked one time (which was noted in other previous reviews), my husband had to go around the back of the house which we had to leave unlocked everyday so we could get backside.

Beautiful views. Kitchen well equipped. Very clean inside. Harbor seals came right up to the rocks off the deck.

Lockpad was problematic. Windows need to be cleaned. Great view is somewhat obscured.

Beautiful views from this location, a long ride out to the point, a long way into town but we brought groceries.

The kitchen had very few regular tools to use and the plates, cups, cooking utensils were very disorganized and hard to locate.

A TV upstairs or in a bedroom would have been great (for the price).. also a couch, coffee table in main living space. not essential just more of a logical furniture staging than 4 individual chairs. perhaps share with future renters that the nearest supermarket is back in town so they can grab what they need prior to arrival.

poor lighting in kitchen and living room area, uncomfortable living room set up no side table in bedroom, bathroom could be cleaner- hair on heater , dust in ledge, bugs in light in bathroom and kitchen area. slider to deck does not work. refrigerator runs, rusty and very loud. light above stove not working. remotes for tv not working- no comfortable chairs near tv. should give renters heads up that house is 30 minutes away from local restaurants and stores - so be sure to do grocery shopping on way in. very dark and narrow road approaching property. Accessibility can be an issue.
