Staff service and willingness to help, location, large rooms

There wasn't hot water at first but it was solved.

Nice hotel with friendly personnel. A bit outside of the busy city center, but still possible to walk to the center (a taxi ride is quite cheap as well). Breakfast was nice too and reasonably priced.

Small windows, so difficult to air out the room a bit :p

- rooms seem to share bathroom walls, plumbing with little noise insulation. - on other side of busy road from downtown.

The staff very friendly and accommodating! Place really clean and updated. Not in center but an easy walk into and back couple times a day! Highly recommend!

Staff were super helpful and went the extra mile to accommodate our requests, very grateful! The hotel was quiet at night and the bed was comfortable allowing us to have a couple of very restful nights

Elena was very helpful with anything we needed. She went beyond what would normally be expected. Breakfast was good and the neighborhood was quiet and safe.

There are only two minor issues of which travelers should be aware. The bathroom is very tiny and there is no place to hang or put anything like shampoo inside the shower expect on the floor. The location is a little far from the center of town, but if you are relatively healthy it is a fairly easy walk. Otherwise, taxis are very inexpensive.

Room was great, beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was tasty and filling.

The property is spacious, bright and airy. It was recently renovated or built in 2020 and was very clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful in booking activities for us. The tours they recommended were terrific and of great value. The breakfast they offer is hot and tasty, well worth the money. Elana and Freddy were very accommodating and delightful to work with.

A little off the beaten path, nearly a mile from downtown Banos. So, be prepared to walk (there are sidewalks) or take a taxi. That being said, the property was quiet which we enjoyed. Worth noting that there is one very good restaurant in close proximity to the hotel.

If you're not into the hustle and bustle of Baños center (quite a party vibe), AND specially if you have your own car, this place is great. In the entrance of town, easy to find and very quiet. Only a 20 min stroll to town, or if you don't even feel like that there's a great steakhouse & pizza restaurant 2 mins away. Rooms are OK, but great place overall for the price. And the staff and owners are great, super friendly and hard working people, very accommodating and Freddie (the owner) is full of great tips, 5* to them!

Nothing major, but bathrooms are small... except the shower which is big and works well (not a given in Ecuador).

The owners, Fredy and Christina, and the entire staff are wonderfully welcoming, helpful and professional. Breakfast included fresh fruits and juice - delicious fruits from the area around Banos. Our room had a very comfortable bed and pillows so we slept well each night. Even though we were there only 2 nights we felt at home and the staff became friends. And to top off a comfortable stay, Sr Fredy is a licensed professional tour guide and we spent a full day with him touring the sights around Banos. Fredy is extremely knowledgeable about Ecuadorian history and is an excellent guide and driver. Everyone at Casa Santa Lucia will do their best to help you enjoy their hotel and the city of Banos.

Comfortable room and good facilities. Good breakfast but what really made the difference was the staff. Helena and Marco were always, friendly and happy to help, we had a great welcome with tips and recommendations. Also Fred was really friendly helping us with places to visit and best directions on our leaving.

Great and fast communication. We ended up arriving just before midnight, was welcomed by Marco who was so friendly. Best bed we’ve sleep in on our 3 months trip. Very clean and comfortable room, lovely shower. The staff goes out of their way to help you with whatever you need and makes you feel very good. We extended our stay and highly recommend it!

Can not think of anything! it was the perfect stay!

Everything was perfect. initially we reserved only two days, but the hospitality of the staff, the conditions of the room, the city made us extend two more days. I booked a single room and received a free upgrade for all 4 nights. for only 3 dollars you can have a good breakfast. Elena, Cristina, Fredy and the guy on duty during the night are extraordinary people, willing to help at any time. You can book great tours through them at a very good price(much cheaper than agencies). On the property there are laundry services for only 2.5 dollars per kilo. if you wish, you can request the room cleaning service during your stay. Soap, shampoo, towels, all free. The property is a 10-minute walk from the center. I highly recommend this property, you won't be sorry. If I come back to Ecuador again, I will definitely come back here and to these wonderful people.

Extremely comfortable bed, nice bedding , clean room and hotel, very friendly and accommodating staff.

We loved the location. 10 minutes walk to Centro. Felt like you were in the country side. Beautiful views. Cows. Dogs were entertaining to watch. Try for room 5. Big balcony facing west for afternoon sun. Very clean. Great bed. Breakfast for 3 dollars was good. Should change up the croissants though as they were the same thing all 4 mornings. Freddy the owner was very helpful upon check in. Elena and Marco were exceptionally nice. Very polite, helpful and professional. Met some great travelers at breakfast and shared recommendations. Highly recommend Casa santa lucia. Thank you.

A great hotel, the rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable, quality TV, hot water and shower working fantastic, great breakfast and very friendly staff. Couldn’t really ask for more, thank you for a wonderful stay :)

An hotel that feels like a home. The owner freddy and Christina were amazing and very helpful in guiding us for the rest of our trip after we left. Elena was the most Caring person, taking care of us like if we were familiy. The breakfast is very generous and delicious ! Confortable and big rooms, quiet place, Nice People. Just positive things to say about this place. I definitely want to stay there if i go back to baños!

Very accommodating staff, we arrived super early, but they were able to put us in a vacant room. In addition they let us use the kitchen to store and warm our food.

The place is about 15 minute walk from the city center, returning back to home is uphill all the way.

Lovely little hotel located just a short walk (7-10 mins) from the town square of Baños. Quiet neighborhood, easy to find, just a 100 meters from the E30 passing through Baños. Mini-markets nearby for shopping the essentials. Owners Fredy and Cristina very friendly and helpful with all requests and inquiries. Parking on property behind locked gates available. Hotel is very tidy and clean, in a very good condition, including rooms. Comfortable bed with the softest bed linen I've experienced in any hotel. Breakfast was made according to wish and dietary restrictions, appropriate rations and well-tasting. Unless a room in the very center of Baños is a must, this hotel is a gem. Very good value!

A rooster on the neighborhood property starts its day around 5 am (as you'll find is common in all rural areas of Ecuador...)
