Birders' Paradise: Modern Family Retreat in Central Monteverde, w a Nice Balcony
Avec ses nombreuses activités à proximité (excursions écologiques, observation des oiseaux et bien plus encore), cet appartement non-fumeurs a décidément tout pour vous plaire. Bat Jungle n'est qu'à quelques minutes à pied et Réserve naturelle Curi-Cancha à 6 minutes, vous pouvez donc laisser votre voiture dans le parking dont dispose l'hébergement.
Un jardin, un bain à remous où se détendre autour d'un verre ou encore un balcon, cet appartement de 60 m² vous réserve un accueil inoubliable pour des vacances placées sous le signe du bien-être. Une fois rentré de vos explorations, profitez des joies de l'intérieur (Wi-Fi gratuit, par exemple).
Dans la cuisine, vous trouverez un four, une plaque de cuisson et un réfrigérateur, mais aussi une cafetière, une bouilloire électrique et un micro-ondes. Parmi les équipements de salle de bains, vous trouverez des serviettes, du papier toilette et du savon. Inutile de vous encombrer de nombreuses tenues de rechange : vous aurez également une machine à laver et un sèche-linge à disposition. We had a great time in this apartment. It is a 2 minute walk to Stella's and a local artist market. It was a short drive into Santa Elena and also the Biological Reserve. It was a great base for our adventures around Monteverde.

What a great spot for birding! We saw so many right off the balcony. We also saw capuchins, squirrels, and a coati. The apartment was clean and just as advertised. Wonderful spot, close to Monteverde, Curi Cancha, and Santa Elena. Hoping to return in another year!

Great location for visiting Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve (get there as early as you can... we stayed all day). We also loved walking the property this apartment is on and nearby Crandell Memorial Reserve. Sitting on the balcony was a treat in itself! We saw many Emerald Toucanets, a wood rail, a gorgeous Toucan, Turquoise-browed motmots, chachalacas, and so many others as well. Plus the monkeys! Walking in the Crandell Reserve, we saw Agouti and countless incredible birds. It's a treasure of a location.
The shower and shower door need a bit of work, but we managed, and I was grateful to have a washer/dryer as this was the last stage of our time in Costa Rica. It was a bit warm, and would loved to have been able to shade from the sun at the kitchen window - because it made the apartment so warm. But once the sun dropped, it cooled off nicely.
Hosts were sweet and helpful as could be. This place gets all the stars!

We had a very nice stay in this property. Just two minute walk to Stella’s which had excellent food. Place was clean and comfortable. It’s very dark there at night so do take flashlights. There is a magnificent tree in the back where you can see birds on a daily basis.

This was a good location, central to the areas we wanted to visit. Lots of birds and other wildlife seen from the deck. Groceries and restaurants close by. The roads are not for beginners.

This property was as advertised. The owners were very helpful and available. Cute, comfortable apartment with a great deck for birding. The grounds were a bit wild but it suited the environment. Walking distance to a little grocery store and restaurants. The forest reserve which was accessible by trails from the property was a bonus.

We loved the location. Stella's is fantastic for breakfast and the coop is great for a quick lunch and souvenir shopping, both a short walk down the hill from the property. The short road to the property is small and easy to miss, but is right next to Stella's. The cloud forest preserve is a short drive away, though there are other reserves very close to the location plus a waterfall. The property itself was nice, and we loved being able to open the large windows in the morning before heading out. The only downside is that we didn't stay longer to enjoy the area!

The location is perfect for visiting the nearby Reserves, and convenient to a couple of nice restaurants and a small grocery store. The temperature is perfect, and even refreshingly cool when it mists. And that was an experience...bright, direct sun with microscopic mist blowing through!
As advertised, the apartment is compact with one bathroom, so you need to be comfortable with your traveling companions. Additionally, as noted in other reviews, this is the middle unit and you can definitely hear the upstairs neighbors walk and if there's children, its noticible.
Bottom line, this is an inexpensive rental with basic amenities in a great location. If you enter with those expectations its a great value.

We enjoyed being a short drive away for La Fortuna and being in the quiet of the countryside. Views we outstanding! The house was perfect.

My family of four had a great stay here. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen worked out great, and we loved being surrounded by all the trees and nature. Location was close to many parks, restaurants, and a small market. It was nice having the washer and dryer, especially after a downpour. The shower was a little tricky but we managed. Loved just hanging out on the deck, listening to nature and watching the sky. We would definitely stay again.

Appreciated the two bedrooms in the beautiful view. Feel secluded yet and easy walking distance to a Stellas Bakery and little grocery store named Whole Foods, but not associated with the American chain.

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was clean and we enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the birds and monkeys in the tree. The only down time was that we had the middle condo and the noise from the upper unit was very annoying at times.

Jorge was very welcoming and we loved staying here. We were able to walk to monteverde reserva from the apartment, and could walk to get breakfast and lunch at the various places in monteverde. Easy access to buses as well. We saw a toucan from the balcony our first morning!

Property is as described, 2 bedroom 1 bath tucked away on the outskirts of Monteverde. Check in was easy, great communication. Far enough from town that it is very quiet, two cafes minutes walk from the front door. Quick drive to most of the area attractions. Easy walk up to several restaurants.
Things to note, nothing bad just things to plan for : if you are not staying a week you are asked to limit to one load of laundry and purchase your own soap. Good to know if you are planning on hiking and zip lining as you will need to plan for muddy clothes. There are no screens on the windows or screen doors, leaving them open does let in the breeze but the mosquitos as well. (duh, but just be aware. they were pesky fellas even in December)

Jorge is amazing and had some great recommdations for us which suited us perfectly.
Communication and check in was more than smooth, the location is really good (three choices for great coffee right opposite for a reward after a long hike).
The house itself could do with some touch ups, but as I said, it's cozy and good value for what you're paying 🥰

Monteverde cuteness
The apartment was as described mostly. The place was very clean and equipped with everything you will need. The view from the main bedroom beautiful.
Communication from the host and directions excellent.
The apartment was the middle level of three apartments and I found it to be quite noisy from above. Just could hear the moving around etc. if you sleep light and think this could be an issue it’s worth knowing in advance.

A wonderful place to stay in Monteverde!
This is a lovely place with a beautiful private terrace. Jorge, the host, is kind, informative, and available. We saw a toucan fly by from the terrace as we sipped our morning coffee and ate banana bread (both provided by our host).

Great rental in Monteverde
Me and my mother spent a night in this property over New Years ending 2020. This is a beautiful cabin with 2 rooms with king size beds and a well equipped kitchen and comfortably furnished living room. The kitchen was well-equipped. The property manager, Mr. Torres, had kindly presented us with a loaf of banana bread and had with some great coffee from his farm, when we arrived. This place is conveniently located, and is just a couple of minutes walk from Stella's bakery, Whole Foods and the Coffee shop in Monteverde. It is also 5 min drive from the entrance to the main reserve forest in Monteverde. Great place for couples of a family to stay in.
