The best place to be in South Albania. we enjoyed the view, the location was very convenient and the TRADITIONAL Albanian food. The host was very hospitable. JUST Fantastic!!!!!!

If you are looking for a true Albanian experience. Do not look further, because Progon House has it all. Progon House is hosted by an elderly couple and is located in a very remote area. The town is a collection of sheep shepherds, bee keepers, and is very very small. It is about 45 min drive from Tepelena. The elderly couple is super sweet! We wanted to barbeque at our first night and they already put on the fire for us. They supplied us with oil, spices, and vegetables from the garden. You can count on a traditional breakfast and we also paid for a traditional Albanian diner which included stewed lamb, spinach pie, and some kind of paella with chicken, although I am sure they don't call it paella. We had an absolute wonderful stay and we would highly recommend this to anyone that is open for a bit adventure in Albania!!

Super friendly host, very good breakfast and dinner with food grown in the garden. Large and clean rooms. Great price and quality. Very beautiful surrounding landscape. Excellent place for hiking and relaxing.

The host was extremely nice and welcoming. He offered us fruits, homemade honey and nuts. He prepared a delicious dinner for us and showed his animals to our kids. It was not just a nice stay, but a real Albanian experience.

As written in other reviews, bath is shared and rooms do not have AC. We only stayed 1 night and it didn’t bother us, but the description should be corrected. The doble bed in the triple room was old and uncomfortable. You fall down to the middle and makes noises with every movement.

Great price and a unique location. The elderly man who lives here doesn't speak English, but is happy to help you in any way he can and will communicate with you via Google Translate.

The host couple is very nice and friendly. Even though we don't speak Albanian, we were able to communicate well - sometimes with the help of their granddaughter, who translated. In addition to breakfast, they also offered to make us lunch and dinner. All dishes were in the traditional and home made style and very tasty :)

House is new, all rooms were very clean. Owners are kind people. After our arrival we spoke over a phone with their son (in English) who arranged a lunch for us and his father walked with us through village to show the best way to reach the waterfall. Unfortunately there was no waterfall as the river was almost dry, but it was very nice walk anyway.

Information on booking are not correct. There is no private bathroom. House has only one bathroom that is shared also with owners. Room doesn't have air conditioning. Owners don't speak in English so it wasn't easy to communicate.
