Overall a nice place. Enjoyed the stay. Only issue is that it's got close neighbors wouldn't call it secluded

This property was in a perfect location for the gathering of family and friends. Our visitor's wanted to see the Luray Caverns and the New Market Civil War Battlefield. We were 20 minutes from each. I would recommend this property for anyone wanting to visit the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

The host's seamless communication made the booking process and check-in a breeze. The home itself was spotlessly clean, exceeding my expectations. The location was ideal for my needs. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and the views from the deck were stunning. Highly recommended!

This fit the bill for a wedding weekend stay with young children and grandparents alike. We had a few issues (hot water had accidentally been cut off the first day) but the property manager was very communicative and was able to put everything in order. The neighbors are close by, but friendly. A great option for anyone looking to stay in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at the property. Very spacious and nice floor plan. Kitchen was well equipped and the location was suitable. The only issue was that it was not wheelchair accessible (no ramp to avoid stairs) although it was mentioned otherwise in the description.

Very nice

We drove up from Miami to enjoy nice weather for the holiday season. There were 7 of us, my husband and myself and our 5 grown children (19-29). We had more than enough room and the house had all we needed. The kitchen is large, laundry room great, and the large couch and ottoman we used to watch movies and 2 of the kids fell asleep on couch and slept there the whole night. We went to Shenandoah Caverns, Civil War Museum, hiking the Dark Hollow Trail on the Skyline drive and Monticello...I would recommend all of these places. Ciro's Restaurant right in town is great!! Owner was very responsive to any of my texts. Highly recommend the rental.

My family and I had a great time here. The property is beautiful, well appointed, spacious and just like home. Great views, great food 15 mins away Luray and wonderful drive at Skyline drive. Had a great time relaxing in the hot tub! We also appreciated the crib and high chair, made taking care of a 1 year a breeze. Stay here, you won’t be disappointed!

This is a five star rental except for one thing - the setting. Here's why it's five stars. Absolutely spotlessly clean. Plenty of pots, pans, dishes, glassware, utensils, etc and all very nice. The beds (I only used one) are incredibly comfortable posture-pedic memory foam. Fantastic. Ample towels and linens. Excellent large, flat screen TV's including Netflix. Modest but nice comfortable furniture. Very nice clean hot tub in perfect condition. Electronic keypad locks make it so easy to come and go without worrying about keys. This also makes check-in and check-out so simple. The owners/managers were fantastic. Totally responsive as well as proactive - supportive but not intrusive at all. The one thing that kept it from being a five was the setting. The description says secluded and the outdoor picture shows a big pasture. The pasture is there, smaller than it looks but actually the house is one of four or five houses on a culdesac in a suburban subdivision. I guess you could say it was private in a normal kind of way, but not secluded. I hate to take off points for this but this did matter to me and I felt misled by the picture and the description. I was looking for more seclusion. If this issue doesn't bother you, you should rent this house.

Worked well for our needs

This house was the perfect size for our group of 4 couples. It is a short drive to the Thornton Gap entrance of Shenandoah National Park and close to Luray for the Cavern and restaurants. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and has nice views from the deck. We never had the opportunity to enjoy the hot tub, but did take advantage of Netflix and other channels on the smart TVs. The air conditioning worked so well in the house that we had to turn the temperature up from the preset! One thing that would be great would be if there was a powder room upstairs. Didn't stop us from having a good time.

Everything is as described and more. We had an amazing experience there and we’ll definitely be back

I can’t say enough about this property. The space was clean and exceptionally well equipped. The kitchen had every utensils needed and everything was as pictured. We could not have picked a better location and had an amazing stay.

The house was perfect for time spent relaxing on the porch during the day, long meals and games under the stars and lazing around in the hot tub as the air turned cool late at night. Wifi was perfect for the poor souls who had to work while on vacation and the beds were perfect for great night's sleep and afternoon naps during the heat of the day. Kitchen was large enough for cooking and hanging out, even with our large group (7 adults) and added to our enjoyment of time spent together. Would definitely recommend this house, and host, for anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable spot with easy access to hiking trails, small towns and beautiful vistas. And the homegrown tomatoes we were given by the neighbor when we arrived were a nice touch.

The place was amazing. Very modern, clean, brand new equipment & accessories. The owner even has extra emergency supplies for cleaning, cooking, restrooms and anything else we might have needed. They communicated with us & made sure everything was to our liking. Our group couldn’t have been happier!

This is a wonderful home, located on a dead end in a development that is no less than $35,000 homes. This home was situated so when you are in the hot tub no worries of neighbors being too close. This was a very quiet neighborhood. A good place to go and just relax and enjoy a very nice home, two minutes away from my grocery store in the small town of Stanley. And you could go horseback riding and go to Luray Caverns. There was a very nice outdoor grill propane and or charcoal I prefer charcoal. An outdoor fire pit away from the home where you can take a grill up with you or just roast marshmallows and cook hotdogs, and again not be worried about neighbors seeing you. My wife and I rented for a week next time we are considering doing two weeks.

Excellent house and great communication with host.

This home was perfect for our family getaway. Very beautiful and clean. The hot tub was a perfect way to unwind in the evenings.

The owner was very supportive and provided us a work around when it turned out that the cleaning crew had not provided our linens. (Turns out they were in the dryer, but we didn’t find them til later in the week. Owner provided access to linen closet so we could find some.) There’s no pool at the house, nor is there a game room/pool table. Beds and linens are great. Dishes & utensil were fine. The deck, while wonderful for providing outdoor space, needs some TLC. Some of the light fixtures outside are coming loose and property managers are not replacing burnt out bulbs inside. Owner was very receptive to our feedback; with this great location, midway between Front Royal and Harrisonburg, there’s easy access to the mountains & JMU. The views are amazing & we hope that the owner will do the repairs (master shower, deck, anything else a home inspector might find) and bring the property up from a three star back to its five star potential.

The house is very expensive related to the cleaning and the furniture. When we arrived we found above the hot tub a wasp nest and in one of the restroom a death mouse. Next morning we found a babies mice in one of the kitchen drawers. Some of the drawers in the wardrobe were broken too. Very expensive house related to the quality of it. I don’t recommend it. The owners offered an extra night on Sunday, when we told them, previously, we were not available. They haven’t reduced the price or they offered we don’t pay the cleaning fee because obviously the home was not cleaned very well.

We had a wonderful stay, house was clean and well-stocked. House looked exactly as advertised. Communication with owner was easy and owner was super responsive with any question I had. Hot tub was so relaxing and the backyard space was perfect for our group. We had a great time!

Wonderful trip to a beautiful house that was easy to find! Extremely clean like cleaner than my own house :) awesome location and well stocked house! The bed sheets were great in fact I’m buying them for my own home, it’s a HUGE house, we didn’t even use the upstairs. The hot tub did seem a little over chlorinated so may just want to double check your chlorine tabs because I do believe they are too large. Overall this was a GREAT weekend getaway we will def be back!

We booked this property on a Tues for a trip starting Fri of the same week. The owner responded within an hour of booking and continued to keep open communication until we arrived. Very friendly and very quick responses every time. A+ We stayed for four days the first week of May, and the weather was great for our day-hikes. The house was very clean upon arrival. Kudos to the cleaners. You can tell the owners are putting effort into making this new rental a nice property. Several things looked new, such as the bathroom fixtures, the mattresses, and the TVs. Some furniture items and doormats still had the tags. There were other furniture items, however, that showed much wear, like scuffs and broken handles. These didn't bother us too much, as renters can be tough on a property. We were a family of five with three kids under 10, so the house was a big overkill for our needs. There are 3 bedrooms downstairs (one master king and two queen rooms), and an other king bed upstairs. All three bathrooms are downstairs. We only used two of the downstairs bedrooms. The kitchen was big and had nice kitchenware and appliances. The house had everything I needed to bake a birthday cake. The owners have stocked the pantry with basics like cereal, oatmeal packets, pancake mix, ramen, a few canned vegetables, and several seasonings. This was very thoughtful and is above an beyond what most rentals would provide. We did notice some perishable food items marked "refrigerate after opening" that were left open and in the pantry. The house had a computer for guest use in the living room. We did not use it but this is also something that you rarely find in other properties that sets this rental apart. The internet was able to hold up to two adults teleworking, two kids on virtual learning, and one kid on Netflix simultaneously. The kids enjoyed the hot tub each day. The view from the back deck is the best part of the rental. We spent some time driving around the town, getting lost on purpose. The town is really nice and the area quiet. We visited the local Hawksbill Diner for breakfast and was not disappointed. It would have been nice to have a rental property book with house instructions such as what to do with the trash and linens, local activities, and local emergency numbers, etc. The grill needs some TLC and we were unable to use it. This property has a lot of potential and I look forward to see how the owners continue to improve it over the next few years.

Excellent modern property in a quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the mountains. Host were very responsive and prompt in reply.

We had a lovely time for Easter weekend in the Shenandoah mountains. The owners have taken special time and attention to make sure that you have everything available that you will need. The hot tub was wonderful and so was the fire pit which was stocked with wood as well as flame starters. Our trip was very enjoyable!
