There were no bugs.

I called the hotel to confirm the waterpark was open and functional. I was told YES. This was one day prior to checking in and before booking the hotel. I booked for this specific amenity. My kids were thrilled. At check-in I was told both waterslides had been closed for refurbishing for 2 weeks. I was dumbfounded because I was given inaccurate information over the phone the day before and the employee snapped at me that he was not the one who told me that the slides were open. I was kindly offered a refund so I could stay elsewhere, but this is a semi-remote town in NE WY and it was more trouble than it was worth to find substitute lodging. The waterpark included a lazy river, which was indeed open but it had no floats, so it basically useless. Further, the workers were sanding the interior of the slides and dust was wafting into the pool area via the slides and coating the water. A larger-than-average hold charge was placed on my credit card that did not drop off for over 10 days. We had stayed in many hotels over 2 weeks and had the large hold charge for only this specific hotel, and this hotel was the only negative hotel experience of our entire trip. Options were few, though, in Gilette, and had the water slides actually been open as expected, our stay would have most likely been a highlight for my kids on that long day of driving, rather than the disappointment it turned out to be. The unapologetic and blatant dishonesty is what ruined our stay at this place.

Cleanliness! Location. Very nice front desk person. Phone check out.

Perhaps a wee pricy but everything was great. One waterslide was not available.

Breakfast was good. Selection was better than average.

Tub did not have a stopper. Used wash rag.

Lady checking in was pleasant. Breakfast was one of the best for being complementary.

Lighting in the bathroom, room 320 flickers, to where it goes black, maybe an electrical issue? Ice machine on 3rd floor didn't work.

I’ve spent most of my adult life in hotel management. I’m picky and check everything. I enjoyed every aspect of this property. staff was excellent. room was spotless. breakfast was excellent with tons of different options to choose from. My daughter loved the water park. I’ll definitely stay at this property when I’m in Gillette.
