4 night stay for a May walleye trip, our 3rd stay here in as many years. I can honestly say that Patty has thought of everything for this house, perfect for a fishing trip and imagine it would be awesome for a family islands excursion as well. Well equipped kitchen, great common spaces (inside and out), comfy beds and excellent amenities! Only wish we could stay longer!

We decided to celebrate my wife’s birthday with a trip to the islands in Lake Erie, neither one of us had ever been to the area so we decided to stay on Catawba fish house for us and about five of our friends. The house was very spacious for everyone clean and very well organized and label to find everything. What a nice homebase for an island adventure. Would highly recommend for a relaxing trip or a fishing trip. Very well suited for both. Look forward to visiting again.

Patty was a great host and very accommodating for our situation. Because of her we had a great weekend and we’re able to still enjoy our vacation!

This home was perfect for our family reunion. My cousin lives nearby and our actual reunion was at her house but we needed space for my family and my sisters’ families to stay. Family room and dining areas were spacious and comfortable. Everything well appointed, every detail included to make our stay perfect. The bunk room was a standout- 4 built in full size bunks with a light and plugs for each bed, a little niche in each to put their phones and small items, plenty of storage. Even little fans that could be used at each bunk! We would stay here again and my cousin was so impressed she took the card so she could recommend it when she had others come to stay!

Great place to stay! House was ready before check-in time, and we were able to get the use of the entire day. House was very clean, and all of the essentials were there for us to use. Would defiantly book again.

This was our 2nd time staying at this fantastic rental in Catawba Island. While our fishing was not as successful - the location and the amenities provided cannot be understated. Communication with Patty was great, and the place is spacious and has everything you need - whether you are there just for a weekend away or for a serious fishing trip. I love that it is right across from Herb's and so close to 2 boat launches... not to mention just down the road from Twin Oast and the winery. Cannot wait for our next trip!

6 of us stayed here for a fishing trip on Lake Erie. This place checked off all the boxes for us! Large dining room table for us all to eat together at, two showers with soft large towels, room for 6 to comfortably relax and watch tv in the evenings, and plenty of beds. Patty is a great host and she will be sure all of your needs are met.

I got Patty’a vrbo for our wedding at Gideon Owen for the bridal party to stay and it was the best decision I made! She was so helpful and her place was gorgeous - we got so many compliments!

Five ladies from Michigan joined five ladies from Ohio for a fun weekend away. This property was perfect. We had so much fun. The Dining Room table accommodated 10 people. The large patio in the back also accommodated our group. The home had everything we needed and the property owner was very helpful. We look forward to coming again.

This place was great! It has lots of living space, great bedrooms, very nice bathrooms, large outdoor area with fire pit and lots of outdoor furniture. My friends and I had a great time. Close to everything also (restaurants, water, all the sights).

We had a great time with 13 of us! Very clean and enjoyed ourselves and liked how close we were to most places we went to.

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was spacious and well stocked. It had everything you need to enjoy your vacation. Hosts are very responsive and put in the extra effort to make our stay comfortable. They even left toys for our little ones to enjoy.

This property was perfect for our getaway with 3 family groups. Each couple had a bedroom and all of the kids fit comfortably in the bunk bed room. The house was well equipped and spacious. Everything was as stated.

This was our first stay at this property for our 2nd annual Walleye trip to the beautiful Lake Erie Western Basin, and we will be back! I am not exaggerating when I say that this place had EVERYTHING we could have hoped! 4 comfortable bedrooms (for 4 guys), 2 full baths, a comfortable common/seating area were just the start. The fully equipped kitchen was perfect for cooking up our catch, with options to grill available as well. Bonus features included a fully equipped fish cutting station, which was even under cover for the rainy days! We enjoyed the firepit, with the generously provided firewood, and the outdoor seating area. Oh, and don’t underestimate the location! Our daily stroll to Herb’s for our food, drink and fishing needs was ultra-convenient, 2 boat ramps were nearby, and the huge parking area made boat parking/l(un)loading simple. We could not ask for a better spot to launch our fishing trip from each day - awesome place!

Covid changed our Christmas plans at the last minute, and I booked this house on Christmas Eve to check in the next day. Patty was wonderful to let us land here with virtually no notice on a holiday, and the place was ready, clean and festively decorated when we arrived. The space was perfect for us - my 4 kids had enough bedroom space to spread out in and get good night sleeps, and the living area was roomy enough for us to comfortably hang out in. We will stay here again when we come to visit our relatives on Catawba!

The Catawba Fish House next to Herb’s bait may be a prime choice for fishermen enjoying the area, but the home itself is equal to a fashionable four star resort. The location next to the well known Herb’s Bait is central to everything on the island and a very short drive to Port Clinton and the Marblehead- Lakeside area. The outside is misleading, but upon entering you’ll find a beautifully remodeled home with custom lighting, lovely furnishings and accents that a professional designer would create. There is a large inviting living room with cathedral ceilings that leads to the open kitchen and dining room graced with a large wooden dining table. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and linens you’d find at a Hyatt Regency! Plush comforters with beds that invite a good nights sleep. The bathrooms have large fluffy towels and are spotlessly clean. The fully stocked kitchen has amenities not found in other properties. The backyard features a spacious patio with gas and smoker grills as well as roomy seating areas two patio tables. We stayed in the fall and the owner had the entire home decorated in a fall motif which only added to the charm. The owner was prompt in responding to all of our inquiries and requests. With room for fourteen people it may be a prime choice of lodging for fishermen, but seasoned travelers looking for clean, safe, comfortable and tastefully furnished lodging will be pleasantly surprised. Having owned two lodging establishments myself as well as being a retired International Flight Attendant for 30 years I can attest to the validity of this review.

We stayed here because of a family wedding in Port Clinton and it was perfect for what we needed. Only 15 minutes away from Port Clinton and roomy enough to Howells me and my wife, my two boys, and both of my daughters that are married and I have small children (7 months and 16 months). Great set up for privacy when needed is the kids head a blast with the toys and. It was also convenient to have a crib, pack and play, and a chairs so that we didn’t have to bring them. We will definitely stay here again if you opportunity arises. Thank you.

Great area, location, and price. The home had everything you would need. The small details were appreciated. Board games, books, wifi, freezer, small coolers, etc. Patty was very attentive, we are grateful for the opportunity of staying in her home. Hope to visit again soon. Btw, our phones (maps) sent us into the side street but it's the corner house on the main road. There is a decorative boat in the front of the house.

We chose this property due to the best price and location for our group of 10. We were just up for the weekend to enjoy a day at Cedar Point. It's a 5 hour drive so we stayed 2 nights. The lay out was perfect for our group. 3 bedrooms for the adults and a bunk room that slept our kids perfectly! It was perfect for us. The kids really enjoyed the bunk room. The house was clean and the amenities more than we expected. There was a cute brewery nearby that was fun for our family and friends! The property manager went above and beyond for us. I left some belongings in the house and didn't realize it until after we had long departed and she was very prompt to retrieving my things and getting them mailed to me! It was very appreciated. We have already agreed we would love to come back to this property in the future!
