The quirky house, and the excellent food in the pub across the road.

The heating was a bit feeble for February, and there was no hot food for breakfast.

Clean facilities. Good communication and clear instructions. Great location.

Room & ensuite were clean, huge and beautifully decorated. Great central location to get around. Plenty of parking. Very quiet location. Breakfast was simple but tasty.

Owner more hands off then expected unfortunately based on other locations during our holiday. Room was very warm - considering the weather perhaps providing a fan might have been a nice gesture. Bigger sign might be an idea so property can be spotted from road.

Lovely old house, opposite a good pub that serves good food (and beer!). Well located for exploring the coast about 30min drive away, from Poole Harbour, Purbeck, Portland, Chesil beach and north into the hills.

Although on a busy road the noise doesn't intrude into the house.

Good sized room and bathroom. Comfy bed.

Cobwebs on the ceiling. Quite chilly in the room and we needed to use the oil filled radiator - then it was okay. Shower steam set off smoke alarm in the bedroom a couple of times, even with the bathroom door closed. We could deal with standing on the bed and reaching up to switch it off, but elderly people couldn't - no staff in the building most of the time.

There is a new owner and I think they are just getting set up, which is understandable. Photos of the interior and guest access areas were wrong - sparse furnishing (no chairs in bedroom, small tv, no wardrobe), poor comfort in breakfast room, cold; no access to conservatory and garden; no cooked breakfast; little decoration in terms of photos, ornaments, mirrors. No coffee, tea, etc in the room. No mugs in the room, no glasses in bathroom. Cafitiere (excellent) and mugs disappeared after breakfast from the breakfast room. No mobile on website for me to contact owner nor in their acknowledgement of our arrival time. That said, I think it is early days for them.

Teresa was a lovely host. Breakfast of pastries and cereals was provided. Bed was lovely and comfortable.
