Good location

Felt dirty

. Nothing. Absolutely, nothing.

This location is absolutely horrible. No dead bolts on the doors or locks on windows and they are ground entrance suits. The suit was filthy, literally dirty and half painted. The floors were coming apart at the seams between old tile and half redone laminate. The breakfast was always old and stale food pulled out of little buckets underneath the filthy counters. They did not uphold the agreements on price that we booked through Expedia It was absolutely disgusting and should not be recommended for families. This is for workers or hunters on the road needing a place to sleep without opening their eyes and looking at the room.

Great location. Management and staff are very accommodating. Great place to stop over for a night or more. Rooms have almost full kitchen. Wonderful breakfast. Manager was on site and made us fresh eggs in the morning for breakfast. A very nice and polite man. Thank you very much! We will see you again.

Room was not heated on initially checking in. However, staff and management were able to move us quickly to a heated room.

It was a convenient location.

Extremely angry because they wanted a security deposit of $400 instead of the quoted amount of $200.. And told me they can charge what they want. Disgusting behavior and unneeded stress.. Total rip off.

Not much

Very unwelcome building. We actually thought we may have been scammed as it looked run down and closed. It was very beat up and the heater made so much noise we couldn’t run it and asked for two extra blankets which were delivered promptly but old and ripped. Just is in major need of renovations. The kitchen was equipped with old garage sale looking items I didn’t even take a shower. The cover thing in the ceiling was falling down. The lamp shades were broken and falling apart, the sofa and all upholstery items were gross and stained. I felt sorry for the girl on the desk as she tried hard and made sure we knew there is a 5% discount at the liquor store next door!! I should have had a drink before staying! but seriously, even though the price was about $100 this place is just so awful we won’t stay again or recommend.

The staff were pretty friendly and the original room that we booked (Queen with double beds and kitchenette) started off comfortable- it was spacious, appeared clean, and had Netflix on the TV which we were looking forward to when unwinding in the evenings.

When we first arrived, we got settled into our room and then left right away for the day. When we came back to our room, we were greeted by an infestation of ants all over the floor. We moved a side table to see where they were coming from and it appeared there was some kind of sticky substance on the floor and they were coming out of the floorboards. When we went to the night front desk, we told them about the ants and he responded with, "so what do you want?" and didn't seem to care. We asked to change rooms, and the clerk gave us a new room, but we were downgraded to a suite that was half the size, had no kitchenette and no Netflix. There was also a dead bug in the fridge and on the nightstand in the room when we entered. In the morning, we informed who I believe was the manager about our room and asked if we would be refunded as I had seen online the price of the kitchenette room and the smaller room had a difference in price. He said they were the same price and only offered to take off my pet fee which was $15, which he said could be put back onto my card when I checked out. When I told him about the ant infestation in our original room he said "someone must have left out cookies" implying we somehow caused a whole ant infestation in our room when we hadn't even been in our room all day. When we checked out, I went to the front desk to get the $15 refund he offered and nobody was there. There was a sign posted that said to leave your keys at the desk if you were checking out. We waited for a bit, but had to leave so I left without the refund. I was hopeful about this hotel, but the lack of cleanliness and the staff's lack of concern or desire to provide good customer service was very disappointing. I would not recommend staying here.

im so impressed with econolodge, this will be my new place to stay when i come to medicine hat, please dont raise the prices. And thank you, i had the best sleep i had in months, i slept for almost 10 hours straight. The bed is super comfy as well. Thank you

the view i guess, thats the only thing, but i wasnt there for the view. It was nice anyways,

Looked clean

Undergoing renovations but looked like they didn’t know what they were doing. Hot tub (not commercial)and sauna were in the basement and both weren’t working.
